Classic blueberry syrup recipe without water

Ingredients

  1. Fresh blueberry juice - 1 liter

  2. Sugar - 1.5 kg

The method of preparation

  1. Combine fresh juice and sugar in a saucepan.

  2. Boil over low heat for 15-20 minutes until the sugar crystals dissolve.

  3. Check the consistency of the syrup, it should be slightly viscous, if the mass is still liquid, boil some more, stirring and monitoring the consistency every 5 minutes.

  4. As soon as the syrup shows signs of viscosity, remove from heat and let cool.

  5. While still warm, pour your syrup into sterile jars, close and refrigerate.

Blueberry syrup recipe with water

Ingredients

  1. Blueberries - 500 g

  2. Sugar - 300 g

  3. Lemon juice - 2 tbsp.

  4. Water - 400 ml

The method of preparation

  1. Sort the berries, tear off the stalks. Throw away the green and yellow balls, the color of the berries should match their name.

  2. Wash the blueberries and put them in a saucepan. Then pour water over the berries and boil for 10 minutes.

  3. The berry is boiled, the syrup shows signs of thickening. Remove the pan from the heat, cover with a lid, leave for 15 minutes.

  4. Rub the warm berry mass through a sieve.

  5. Add sugar and squeeze lemon juice. If the lemon is tight and unripe, then it can be "bathed" in boiling water. After this procedure, the juice can be obtained by lightly pressing on the porous citrus peel.

  6. Boil the blueberry syrup for another 15 minutes, it becomes quite thick.

  7. Pour the warm liquid into a sterilized bottle, close the sterile lid.

  8. You can store the syrup until the next blueberry harvest.

Recipe for frozen blueberry syrup

Ingredients

  1. Frozen blueberries - 1 kg

  2. Sugar - 1 kg

Method of preparation

  1. Put blueberries in a deep plate and cover with the same amount of granulated sugar. No need to thaw the berries beforehand.

  2. Mix the berries thoroughly and place them on the top shelf of the main compartment of the refrigerator for gradual defrosting. In the process of thawing, the blueberries will release juice, which will dissolve sugar crystals.

  3. After a day, the fruits in sweet juice are put on fire and boiled for 5 minutes. After that, the mass is poured onto the smallest sieve or several layers of gauze.

  4. Then the berries are lightly squeezed without squeezing them. The resulting syrup is put on fire for 5 minutes.

  5. Afterwards, the billet is poured into bottles and tightly screwed with sterile lids.

Recipe for berry syrup with blueberry leaves

Blueberry leaves also contain a huge amount of nutrients and are used as an independent product for brewing tea. To enhance the medicinal properties of blueberry syrup, it is made not only from tender berries, but also from leaves.

  2. Blueberry leaves - 100 pcs.

  3. Sugar - 500 g

  4. Water - 350 ml

The method of preparation

  1. Put blueberries and blueberry leaves in boiling sugar syrup (made from 500 g of sugar and 350 ml of water).

  2. Bring the mass to a boil and turn off the heat. Allow the workpiece to cool completely.

  3. After that, the berries and leaves are removed from the infusion, and the syrup is boiled again.

  4. The procedure is repeated 3 times. The finished syrup is filtered and boiled for 3 minutes before being poured into sterile jars.
