Blueberry liqueur: 5 recipes at home

Tips before you start

  1. Blueberries do not have a strong characteristic flavor, such as strawberries, and various spices are often added to make the drink have a rich flavor.

  2. You can use fresh, frozen and even dried berries to make liqueurs.

  3. For the color of the liquor to have a deep shade, it is better to take fully ripe blueberries.

  4. As an alcoholic base, you can use vodka, high-quality moonshine or food alcohol.

Blueberry liqueur with mint

Ingredients

  1. Blueberries - 1 kg

  2. Granulated sugar - 750 g

  3. Vodka - 750 ml

  4. Lemon or orange zest - 20 g

  5. Mint - 2 sprigs

The method of preparation

  1. Rinse the blueberries thoroughly, get rid of spoiled berries and small debris.

  2. Put the prepared berry in a glass container and add mint leaves and grated or finely chopped lemon zest to it.

  3. Then add granulated sugar, mix thoroughly and leave in a dark place at room temperature for 2 months.

  4. During this time, the blueberries will release the juice and after the specified time, it must be filtered and the berry squeezed through cheesecloth.

  5. Mix the resulting juice with the alcohol base and pass through a purchased or homemade filter.

  6. Pour into glass bottles and insist in a cool, dark place for at least one week before tasting.

  7. It is best to store the finished blueberry liqueur in the refrigerator or cellar.

Classic blueberry liqueur (variant 1)

Ingredients

  1. Blueberries - 650 g

  2. Granulated sugar - 1 kg

  3. Water - 1 liter

  4. Food alcohol - 650 ml

Method of preparation

  1. Repeat step 1 from the first recipe.

  2. Pour the blueberries into a glass container and cover with rubbing alcohol.

  3. Now insist for 5 weeks in a sunny place.

  4. As soon as the specified time has passed, pass the tincture through a filter.

  5. Cooking simple sugar syrup.

  6. Mix the cooled sugar syrup with blueberry tincture and pass it through a filter again.

  7. Now pour into glass bottles and store in a cool, dark place.

Classic blueberry liqueur (variant 2)

Ingredients

  1. Blueberries - 2 kg

  2. Granulated sugar - 1 kg

  3. Water - 1 liter

  4. Vodka - 1л

The method of preparation

  1. Repeat step 1 from the first recipe.

  2. Pour the prepared blueberries into a glass jar, pour vodka over them and put them in a sunny place for 4 days.

  3. After 4 days, strain the blueberry tincture through a sieve.

  4. Cooking the classic sugar syrup, add the alcoholized berries and boil for another 10 minutes.

  5. After the syrup has cooled, puree the blueberries and then strain the blueberry sugar syrup through a fine sieve or cheesecloth.

  6. Now combine the blueberry syrup with the tincture and leave to stabilize the taste for 7 days in a cool place.

  7. After the specified time, pass the finished drink through the filter and pour it into glass bottles.

  8. Store blueberry liqueur in a cool, dark place.

Spiced blueberry liqueur

Ingredients

  1. Blueberries - 1 kg

  2. Granulated sugar - 400 g

  3. Vodka - 1 л

  4. Cloves - 5 buds

  5. Vanilla sugar - 5 g

Method of preparation

  1. Repeat step 1 from the first recipe.

  2. Mash the clean blueberries thoroughly with a wooden spatula.

  3. Put the prepared berries in a glass container, add vanilla sugar, cloves and pour the alcohol base.

  4. Now we insist on blueberry tincture for 6 weeks.

  5. After the specified time, filter the tincture through a filter and mix it with sugar.

  6. Then shake the contents of the container daily for one week until the granulated sugar is completely dissolved.

  7. As soon as the liquor is free of sediment in the form of sugar, pour it into glass bottles, and you can safely start tasting.

  8. Store the finished blueberry liqueur preferably in a cool, dark place.

Flavored blueberry liqueur with strawberries

Ingredients

  1. Blueberries - 2 kg

  2. Strawberries - 300 g

  3. Granulated sugar - 800 g

  4. Water - 500 ml

  5. Vodka - 1,3 л

The method of preparation

  1. Rinse the blueberries and strawberries well in cool water, remove spoiled and moldy berries.

  2. Put the berries in a glass container and pour them with an alcoholic base.

  3. Then we infuse the berries with vodka in a sunny place for 6 weeks.

  4. As soon as the specified time has passed, strain the blueberry-strawberry tincture.

  5. Cooking the classic sugar syrup.

  6. After the syrup has cooled to room temperature, combine it with the tincture and mix vigorously.

  7. Now you need to give time (1 month) for the liquor to mature.

  8. After waiting for the deadline, pass the drink through a filter (purchased or homemade) and pour it into glass bottles.

  9. Store the finished blueberry liqueur with strawberries in a cool place.
