Ingredients

  1. Blackberries - 1 kg

Cooking method

  1. Put the blackberries in a saucepan and set the temperature to medium on the stove.

  2. Sprinkle the berries with sugar, but do not stir. Let the heat act on the blackberries a little before stirring gently (about 5 minutes).

  3. Next, stir the mixture every five minutes to prevent it from burning at the bottom of the pan.

  4. Let the blackberries melt slowly with the sugar, the process can take about 15-20 minutes.

  5. Turn off the stove and mash the berries well.

  6. Pass the mixture through a sieve into another bowl until the syrup stops flowing. Important! Once the berries are in the sieve, do not mash them, otherwise you will get a cloudy syrup. The process can take up to an hour.

  7. Pour the finished syrup into jars, close and store in the refrigerator.

Blackberry syrup recipe with water

Ingredients

  1. Blackberries - 1 kg

  2. Sugar - 1 kg

  3. Water - 1 glass

  4. Citric acid - 1 tsp.

The method of preparation

  1. Do not wash blackberries before cooking. You just need to sort them out, remove twigs and leaves.

  2. Pour sugar over the blackberries, pour water and stir with a wooden spoon. You need to let the berries release their juice so they don't burn.

  3. Bring the blackberries to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and remove after 10 minutes.

  4. To make the syrup seedless, you need to strain it through a sieve.

  5. After straining, the syrup should be boiled again, citric acid should be added, and then poured into clean, dry bottles.

  6. With this ratio of berries, citric acid and sugar, the syrup can be stored at room temperature for about 6 months without any problems.
