Blackberry liqueur and tincture: 7 recipes at home

Blackberry is a close relative of raspberries, a frequent guest of many desserts and drinks. Its beneficial properties are undeniable for the human body. That's why Vzboltai decided to make liqueurs and tinctures from this wonderful berry, thus preserving a part of the summer flavor in the winter season.

A simple recipe for blackberry liqueur
Ingredients
Blackberries - 1 kg
Sugar - 750 g
Vodka / moonshine / cognac - 500 ml
Alcohol - 250 ml
The method of preparation
Rinse the blackberries, put them in a colander and dry.
Put them in a jar of a suitable volume and sprinkle with sugar, shake well. Cover the jar with gauze and leave it in a warm place for 7-10 days to let the berry give off its juice and ferment slightly. Stir the berries once a day.
Then pour in the alcohol, close the jar tightly and leave it for 10 days in a cool, dark place, remembering to stir the contents daily.
Drain the resulting infusion, and pour the berries with vodka for 7 days. Drain the infusion of vodka and mix it with the infusion of alcohol.
Pour the finished liqueur into bottles and send it for long-term aging, at least six months.
Spicy blackberry brandy
Ingredients
Blackberries - 450 g (fresh or frozen)
Brandy - 500-750 ml
Sugar - 240 g
Water - 240 g
Cloves - ½ h. л. л. of bud
Allspice - ½ tsp. peas
Cinnamon - 2 sticks
Grated nutmeg - 1 h. л.
The method of preparation
Prepare sugar syrup and cool it to room temperature.
Rinse blackberries, crush them and pour into a jar of suitable volume.
Add all the ingredients, close the jar tightly.
Insist in a cool, dark place for 1 month.
Strain through a cotton filter and leave for another 1-3 months (focus on the taste of the liquor).
Blackberry liqueur on alcohol with leaves
Ingredients
Blackberries - 0.5 kg
Fresh blackberry leaves - 5 pcs.
Cloves - 2 buds
Cinnamon - ½ stick
Honey - 250 g
Alcohol - 370 ml
Water - 80 ml
The method of preparation
Prepare blackberries as in previous recipes. Add blackberry leaves, spices and pour honey over everything.
Wait 3 days until the first signs of fermentation, then add water and alcohol.
Insist exactly one month in a cool dark place, then pour the liqueur through a sieve, filter and pour into a bottle. During the aging, a precipitate will fall out, from which the drink must be delicately drained.
Blackberry liqueur with wine
Ingredients
Blackberries - 1 kg
Red wine - 500 ml
Cognac - 500 ml
Sugar - 500 g
Water - 250-500 ml (to taste)
The method of preparation
Rinse the berries, dry them, put them in a jar and mash them lightly to make juice.
Add wine and cognac, close the jar tightly and send it to a cool dark place. The maceration should take about a month.
After that, pour the blackberry infusion through a sieve and filter it.
Boil from sugar and water a simple syrup, wait until it cools down and add to the infusion.
The liqueur can be filtered again and bottled. Store the finished drink in the basement or refrigerator.
A gourmet blackberry liqueur recipe
Ingredients
Blackberries - 800 g (4 cups)
Mint - 10 leaves
Lemon - 1/2 pc.
Cardamom (not crushed) - 5 g
Anise - 5 branches
Granulated sugar - 400 g
Vodka - 1 liter
The method of preparation
Prepare the berries as in the previous recipes.
In a deep bowl, add berries, sugar, mint, sliced lemon, cardamom, anise and mash everything thoroughly to get the juice out.
Transfer the resulting mass to the prepared container. It can be a 3 liter glass jar or bottle.
Pour the berry mass with vodka, mix.
Close the container with a water seal and put it in a dark, cool place, wrapped in a dark bag. Forget about your liqueur for a month.
After a month, take out the finished liqueur, strain it through cheesecloth folded three times and pour it into bottles or one large container.
Blackberry liqueur in the slow cooker
Ingredients
Blackberries (fresh or frozen) - 500 g
Sugar - 1 cup
Vodka - 500 ml
The method of preparation
If you have frozen blackberries, defrost them at room temperature and drain them.
Put the berries in a multicooker bowl, then sprinkle with sugar and pour vodka.
Turn on the Steam program for 5 minutes.
Then leave it on the "Keep warm" function for about 12-15 hours.
Then you need to strain the liquor and bottle it.
Done! Store in the refrigerator or cellar.
Blackberry tincture recipe
Ingredients
Vodka - 1000 ml
Water - 750 ml
Blackberries - 2 kg
Sugar - 1.3 kg
Citric acid - 3 g
The method of preparation
Pick blackberries, dry them (do not wash) and put them in a jar. Pour over vodka.
Cook sugar syrup, pour and dissolve citric acid in it, remove from heat.
Let cool well, strain and pour into a container with blackberries and vodka.
Mix well, close tightly, insist in a dark and cool place for 30-45 days.
Shake the contents of the container daily.
Then strain the tincture, pour into bottles and store in a cool place.
