Recipe for hot syrup with jalapeño peppers

Spicy and sweet in one ingredient, jalapeño pepper syrup is a fantastic way to heat up your favorite cocktails.

This homemade syrup is very easy to make and can be adjusted to be as hot as you like.

Syrup with jalapeno peppers

Ingredients

  1. Brown sugar - 2 cups

  2. Water - 1 cup

  3. Jalapeno peppers - 2 pcs.

Method of preparation

  1. Wash, peel and cut the peppers.

  2. Add the sugar and water to a saucepan, cook over medium heat and stir constantly until the sugar has dissolved.

  3. Add the jalapenos to the saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.

  4. Reduce the heat to a low boil and cook for three minutes.

  5. Remove from heat and leave for 20 minutes.

  6. Strain through a fine strainer to remove the pepper.

  7. Pour the syrup into a glass container with a tightly closed lid and store in the refrigerator.
