Grapefruit syrup and sauce: 3 recipes at home

Shake makes a sweet and spicy sauce and syrup that is perfect for breakfast dishes and as a topping for anything.
Grapefruit syrup recipe
Ingredients
Two large grapefruits
Brown sugar - 1 cup
Vanilla - 2 h. л.
Method of preparation
Peel the grapefruit and cut the red flesh into pieces (be sure to remove as much of the white, soft part of the fruit as possible).
Get rid of the seeds.
Combine the sliced grapefruit (and the juice from the peeling process), vanilla and sugar in a medium saucepan, mix well, cover and bring to a boil over medium heat.
Reduce the heat to medium, remove the lid and cook for 25-30 minutes. Stir from time to time.
Pass the prepared grapefruit mixture through a fine strainer.
You can also squeeze the mixture with a spoon to get more liquid. Cool and store in the refrigerator, in an airtight container or jar.
Grapefruit sauce recipe
Ingredients
Two large grapefruits
Brown sugar - 1 cup
Vanilla - 2 tsp.
Method of preparation
Repeat 5 points from the first recipe.
Once the grapefruit mixture is cooked, transfer everything to a blender.
Whisk well until the mixture is completely smooth. Cool and store in the refrigerator, in an airtight container or jar.
Alternative recipe for grapefruit syrup
Ingredients
Two large grapefruits
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Lemon juice - 30 ml
Method of preparation
Finely grate the zest of 1 grapefruit and squeeze the juice of two grapefruits.
In a small saucepan, bring the grapefruit zest and juice, sugar and lemon juice to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes.
Pour the mixture into a sterile container. Let cool, close tightly and refrigerate.
Use in cocktails or to flavor sparkling water. This simple syrup will keep in the refrigerator for 2 weeks.
