Recipe for classic mulberry liqueur

In this recipe, cognac can be replaced with vodka, but then the taste of the liqueur will not be as rich.

Also, at the first stage, you can add cinnamon, vanilla or lemon zest for more flavor and an interesting taste.

Ingredients

  1. Mulberry fruit - 800 g

  2. Cognac - 750 ml

  3. Granulated sugar - 300 g

  4. Water - 250 ml

The method of preparation

  1. Pour the mulberries into a glass vessel and pour the prepared alcohol.

  2. We cook a simple one sugar syrup and after cooling, mix it with the infusion.

  3. Close the jar with a lid and leave it for 2-3 months in a dark and cool place. The first week the drink must be actively shaken.

  4. As soon as the aging period is over, strain and then filter the drink.

  5. Bottle the liqueur and leave it for another six months to stabilize the taste.

Mulberry liqueur with gin

Ingredients

  1. Red / black mulberries - 450 g

  2. Gin - 750 ml

  3. Roasted almonds - 1 handful

  4. Powdered sugar - 150 g

The method of preparation

  1. In a glass container of suitable volume, mix all the ingredients and leave for 2-3 months in a cool, dimly lit place.

  2. Be sure to shake the future liqueur several times a week.

  3. After the specified time, strain the finished drink and pass it through a cotton or coffee filter. If desired, you can also add a sweetener before filtering.

  4. Before tasting, bottle the mulberry liqueur and keep it in the refrigerator for another week.

Mulberry liqueur without alcohol

Ingredients

  1. Mulberry - 2 kg

  2. Granulated sugar - 700 g

The method of preparation

  1. Before cooking, mulberries must be carefully sorted out and rotten and moldy berries removed.

  2. Pour boiling water over the fermentation jar and wipe it dry with a clean towel. It is best to use purchased paper towels.

  3. Pour berries and granulated sugar into the prepared container.

  4. Cover the neck with gauze and leave for 2-3 days in a dark, warm place with a temperature of at least 18 degrees.

  5. As soon as the first signs of fermentation appear (sour odor, hissing and foam), install a water seal on the neck of the container and leave for 25-40 days for quiet fermentation.

  6. After fermentation is complete, the drink must be filtered and bottled.

  7. Then we transfer the liquor to a cool place for 2-3 months, after which it can already be served.

  8. Shelf life at a temperature of 5-16 degrees is 2-3 years. The strength of the drink ranges from 10 to 14 degrees.
