Mulberry tincture: a simple recipe at home

It is important to know that red varieties of berries have a more persistent aroma and give an intense and memorable taste.
Fresh mulberries are preferred in the cooking process, but frozen and dried products can also be used.

Classic recipe for mulberry tincture
Ingredients
Mulberries - 400 g
Vodka - 500 ml
Water - 200 ml
Granulated sugar - 200-400 g
The method of preparation
Mulberries must be washed and beaten until smooth with a blender, meat grinder or fork.
Put the prepared puree in a saucepan, add water and granulated sugar. Then we cook according to the recipe for basic sugar syrup.
After the mulberry syrup has cooled to room temperature, mix it in a glass vessel together with the alcohol base and leave it warm for 2-3 weeks. Optimal temperature from 18 to 25 degrees.
Then strain and filter the finished tincture through a purchased or homemade filter.
Before tasting, we bottle the mulberry tincture and cool it in the refrigerator.
Shelf life of about three years.
