Tarragon tincture: 3 recipes at home

Tarragon is also known as tarragon, terragon, tarragon wormwood or tragun herb. It is especially appreciated in the Caucasus, Asia, Europe and Arab countries. It also grows in Ukraine.

Tarragon tastes a little sharp and refreshing, has a very peculiar smell, spicy, with notes of anise, mint.

Tarragon has long gone beyond cooking and is increasingly being used to make alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Flavored tarragon tincture with mint and lemon zest

Ingredients

  1. Fresh tarragon leaves - 20 g

  2. Fresh mint - 40 g

  3. Vodka - 1 liter

  4. Lemon - 2 pieces.

  5. Granulated sugar - 240 g

The method of preparation

  1. First, you need to prepare all the ingredients: wash the mint and tarragon thoroughly in cold water, dry them a little with paper towels and chop them with a knife. Scald the lemons with boiling water, wipe them, remove the zest and squeeze the juice into a separate container.

  2. Put the prepared ingredients (tarragon, mint, zest) in a glass jar and fill them with vodka. Leave for 3-4 hours at room temperature.

  3. Then strain the aromatic infusion using cheesecloth or a fine strainer.

  4. Dissolve granulated sugar in lemon juice and pour into a strained drink.

  5. Close the container with a lid and leave it for another week at room temperature in a dark place.

  6. Before tasting, filter the drink, bottle it and cool it a little.

  7. Store the finished product in the refrigerator.

Tarragon tincture with honey

Ingredients

  1. Fresh tarragon (tarragon) - 100 g

  2. Moonshine - 1 liter

  3. Honey - 6 h. л.

  4. Sugar - 2 h. л.

Method of preparation

  1. Tarragon must be washed, dried and chopped with a knife.

  2. Throw herbs, sugar, honey into a glass container of a suitable size and pour in good moonshine without a pungent odor.

  3. Shake the drink thoroughly until the sweeteners are completely dissolved before putting it in the fridge.

  4. Aging period - 3-5 days in a dark room at room temperature.

  5. After the specified period, filter the finished tincture and bottle it.

  6. Then cool the drink well and serve it to the festive table.

Strong tincture on tarragon

Ingredients

  1. Fresh tarragon - 50 g

  2. Vodka - 500 ml

  3. Granulated sugar - 1 tsp.

The method of preparation

  1. Preparing tarragon greens: wash, dry, chop.

  2. Mix it with granulated sugar in a bowl and cover with cling film. Let stand for 15-20 minutes.

  3. As soon as tarragon starts to juice, transfer it to a glass container and pour vodka. Leave for 2-3 days in a dark room at room temperature

  4. After aging, strain the tincture, then filter and bottle it. Cool the finished drink and serve it to the table.
