Honeysuckle tincture: 3 recipes at home

Honeysuckle berries have long been a favorite product for making homemade alcohol. Some people love the way its flavors are revealed in wine, liqueur or liqueur, while others prefer classic drinks, such as honeysuckle tincture.

Tips before you start

You can use dried, frozen and fresh berries to make homemade honeysuckle tincture. Only frozen honeysuckle should be thawed and allowed to drain, and dried honeysuckle should be taken three times less than indicated in the recipe.

The classic tincture is prepared with vodka, but you can also use food alcohol or high-quality moonshine without a pungent odor.

Honeysuckle tincture with honey

Ingredients

  1. Honeysuckle berries - 400 g

  2. Liquid honey - 300 g

  3. Vodka - 2 liters

The method of preparation

  1. First, prepare the berry. To do this, you need to wash it, remove excess garbage, spoiled fruits and dry it a little with paper towels.

  2. Mash the berries with a blender, meat grinder or potato masher.

  3. Then transfer the honeysuckle puree to a glass container, add honey and pour in the alcohol base.

  4. Shake the container thoroughly and transfer to a dark room at room temperature for 2-3 weeks.

  5. After the time has elapsed, strain the tincture, squeeze out the cake and pass it through a purchased or homemade filter.

  6. Pour the finished drink into bottles. The shelf life is 5 years.

Honeysuckle tincture on vodka

Ingredients

  1. Honeysuckle fruits - 300 g

  2. Vodka - 1 liter

  3. Water - 200 ml

  4. Granulated sugar - 150 g

The method of preparation

  1. We do it step 1 from the first recipe.

  2. Now the berry must be crushed by hand or with a wooden spoon.

  3. Put the prepared honeysuckle in a glass container and fill it with vodka.

  4. Let it brew in a dark place at room temperature for 5 days. Do not forget to shake the contents of the container daily.

  5. After 5 days, the base syrup must be boiled from water and granulated sugar.

  6. While the syrup cools to room temperature, strain the tincture, and then mix it with sugar syrup.

  7. Leave the honeysuckle tincture for another 5 days to stabilize the taste.

  8. The finished drink can be filtered and poured into glass bottles.

Alcohol tincture of honeysuckle

Ingredients based on a 3 liter jar

  1. Fresh honeysuckle berries - 1/2 the volume of the selected container

  2. Food alcohol - 1.5-2 liters

  3. Granulated sugar - 600 g

  4. Water - 1 liter

The method of preparation

  1. Berries must be washed, dried and seeds removed.

  2. Pour the prepared honeysuckle, up to half, into a 3 liter jar.

  3. Then pour in the food alcohol up to the neck and leave to stand for 14 days in a dark place at room temperature. Shake the infusion daily.

  4. After 2 weeks, strain the tincture into a separate container, and cover the berries with granulated sugar.

  5. Leave the container in the same place for another week and continue to shake its contents daily.

  6. After a week, strain the syrup and mix it with alcohol, and completely fill the berry with water and continue to insist for another 7 days.

  7. After 7 days, strain the water and mix it with the rest of the ingredients.

  8. Now the drink must be filtered and bottled.

  9. Before tasting, leave the finished tincture for several days to stabilize the taste.

P.S. The amount of infused water can be adjusted to taste, if the drink is too strong, then you can repeat the manipulations with water (insist on berries for another 7 days, and then dilute the tincture to the desired strength).
