Tips before you start
It is better to harvest when it is fully ripe. The ripest and juiciest berry, always falls to the ground, and it is perfect not only for alcoholic but also for non-alcoholic drinks.
Be sure to remove all spoiled berries before cooking.
The juice of the irgi will give off better if it lies down for 5-7 days at room temperature (spread in a single layer on a paper or wooden base).
Quick tincture of irgi without sugar
You will need no more than four days to prepare this recipe. And you can determine the amount of ingredients yourself.

Wash the irgi berry thoroughly, remove any spoiled berries and dry it a little.
Fill a glass container 3/4 full of prepared berries and fill it to the end of the container with an alcoholic base. Let it brew for 2 days in a dark place.
After 2 days, strain the tincture, throw away the berries and pour fresh berries into a glass container again (just like the first time, 3/4) and pour the strained tincture. Let it brew for another 2 days.
After the specified time, filter the tincture and filter through a purchased or homemade filter. Pour into glass bottles.
Store the finished irgi tincture in a dark place.
Recipe with dried berries:

Dried irga - 1 kg
Vodka - 0,5 л
The method of preparation
Dried irgi berry must be ground in a coffee grinder or in another way convenient for you.
Put some of the crushed berries in a glass container and let it brew for 2 days.
After 2 days, strain the tincture, add the second half of the crushed berries to a glass container and pour the strained infusion. Let it brew for another 2 days.
After the specified time, strain and filter the tincture through a homemade or purchased filter. Pour into glass bottles and store the finished drink for no more than 6 months in a cool place.
Spicy tincture of irgi with honey
You can use any berry (fresh, frozen or dried) to make a tincture according to this recipe.
As an alcoholic base, you can use vodka, alcohol or cognac.
Dried rose hips can be replaced with 150 g of chokeberry.

Irga - 1.5 kg
Vodka - 1 л
Honey - 3 tbsp. л.
Dried rose hips - 10 pieces.
The method of preparation
Wash the irgi thoroughly, remove spoiled berries and beat in a blender to a puree (you can also grind it in a meat grinder).
Put the prepared berries in a glass container, add the rose hips and pour the alcoholic base. Mix well and let it brew for 12 days in a dark place. Shake the contents of the container well every 2-3 days.
After the specified time, the tincture of irgi must be filtered through a sieve and filtered through a homemade or purchased filter. Pour the tincture into glass bottles.
Let it brew for 2-3 days before tasting.
Store the finished drink in a cool place for no more than 3 years.
Tincture of irgi with currants on cognac
To prepare a tincture according to this recipe, it is better to take inexpensive cognac.

Black currant - 300 g
Cognac - 1 л
Honey - 2 tbsp.
The method of preparation
Rinse the irgi and black currant berries thoroughly, remove spoiled berries and kill them with a blender.
Put the prepared berries in a glass container, add honey and pour everything with cognac. Let it brew for 2 weeks in a dark place. Do not forget to shake the tincture every 2-3 days.
After the specified time, strain the drink through a sieve and filter through a homemade or purchased filter.
Pour into glass bottles. Store the finished product in a cool place for no more than 3 years.
Tincture of irgi flowers
For this recipe, you need to use only the Canadian variety and the flowers must be collected in the spring and dried well.
This tincture can be used for medicinal purposes.
Ingredients
Dried irgi flowers - 30 g
Alcohol (40%) - 300 ml
The method of preparation
Dried flowers must be crushed in a mortar.
Put the prepared flowers in a glass container and pour the alcohol base. Let it brew in a dark place for 14 days.
After 2 weeks, the finished tincture must be filtered through a filter. Pour into a glass bottle and store at room temperature.
