Irgi liquor: 4 recipes at home

Many people believe that the irgi berry is absolutely tasteless, but this does not affect the velvety taste of homemade liquor. The berry in liqueurs is fully revealed and, in addition to its beneficial properties, conveys an extraordinary color and delicious taste.
Irga goes well with black currants, and you can experiment and use these two berries together when making liqueur.

Classic liqueur from irgi
Ingredients
Berries of irgi - 1 kg
Granulated sugar - 400 g
Vodka - 1 л
Citric acid - 1 tsp. л
The method of preparation
Wash the irgi berry thoroughly and dry it a little.
Pour prepared berries into a glass container, add granulated sugar, citric acid and pour the alcohol base. Let it stand for 60 days in a dark place at room temperature. Shake the contents of the container every 2-3 days.
After 2 months, the finished irgi liqueur must be filtered through a homemade or purchased filter. Pour into glass bottles.
Store the finished product at room temperature in a dark place.
Spicy irgi liqueur with cherry leaves
Ingredients
Irga - 1 kg
Food alcohol - 1 л
Water - 500 ml
Granulated sugar - 400 g
Cherry leaves - 300 pcs.
Honey - 100 g
Vanilla sugar - 8 g
Lemon - 2 pieces.
Cloves - 4 buds
Method of preparation
Rinse the irgi berry and cherry leaves and dry them slightly, and carefully remove the zest from the lemons.
Put the prepared berries, cherry leaves, lemon zest, water and 200 g of granulated sugar in a pan with a thick bottom. Bring to a boil and simmer for another 40 minutes. Let it brew for a day at room temperature.
The next day, strain the juice through a sieve and squeeze the berries well. Mix the resulting liquid with the remaining sugar and heat a little until the sugar is completely dissolved.
After the berry syrup has cooled, add honey, juice of 2 lemons and mix thoroughly.
Pour the syrup and honey into a glass container, add spices and pour the alcohol base. Leave to stand in a cool dark place for 120 days.
After the specified time, filter the finished irgi liquor through a purchased or homemade filter. Pour into glass bottles.
Store the drink in a cool, dark place.
Irgi liqueur "Double alcohol"
Ingredients
Irga - 1 kg
Food alcohol (95.6%) - 500 ml
Add vodka - 500 ml
Honey - 500 ml
Granulated sugar - 200 g
The method of preparation
Wash the irgi berry thoroughly, dry it a little and beat it a little with a blender.
Pour the prepared berries into a glass container and add sugar. Let stand for an hour at room temperature.
As soon as the berry releases the juice, add honey and prepared alcohol. Insist 35-40 days in a cool, dark place. Shake the contents of the container every 2-3 days.
After the specified time, the liquor must be filtered several times through a purchased or homemade filter. Pour into glass bottles.
Let it brew for at least 1-2 months before tasting.
Store the irgi liqueur in a cool, dark place.
Spicy liqueur made from irgi
Ingredients
Berries of irgi - 1 kg
Granulated sugar - 500 g
Food grade alcohol (95,6 %) - 1 л
Vodka - 1л
Vanilla pod - 1 pc.
Cardamom - 3 grains
Dried ginger - 3 cm
The method of preparation
Wash the irgi berry thoroughly and dry it a little.
Pour the prepared berries into a glass container, add vanilla pod, cardamom, ginger and pour the alcohol base. Let it stand for 20 days in a cool, dark place.
After the specified time, strain the drink through a sieve and filter through a purchased or homemade filter. Pour into glass bottles.
Allow to stand for at least 6 months before tasting.
Store the finished irgi liqueur in a cool, dark place.
