Larsen cognac: a guide to alcohol

About the Larsen brand
A young Norwegian man, eager to explore the world, leaves his home at the age of 24 and takes a ship to America. But, a long stop in Bordeaux for ship repairs changes his fate forever. Determined to earn a lot of money before resuming his journey, Jens Reidar quickly finds work in a small town further north, which is famous for the quality of its water. He meets and marries a local girl.
Soon Jens Reidar discovers another passion: cognac. He quickly becomes an expert, learns the secrets of well-preserved cellars, and explores all the nuances of cognac production. Thanks to this experience, the unique style of Larsen cognac was born in 1926.
The philosophy of the Larsen brand is based on the principle of merging the classic French cognac culture and the proud spirit of freedom-loving northerners. This idea is also the basis for the design of the products. Thus, the manufacturer's catalog includes exclusive lines of old cognacs bottled in decanters in the shape of ships or shields of Scandinavian Viking sailors.
The Larsen Cognac House does not have its own vineyards and distilleries. Spirits are purchased from leading cognac houses from the Grand and Petit Champagne, Fen Bois and Bordeaux appellations. The rich composition of the blends results in an intense, multifaceted bouquet, which is the hallmark of Larsen brandy.
Over the more than 90-year history of the company, representatives of the Larsen family have amassed an impressive collection of old spirits stored in the cellars of the farm. Exclusive distillates (some of which are up to 100 years old) become components of both cognac blends from the regular line and drinks from exclusive limited releases.
