Of course, you will have to tinker a little with the initial preparation of berries (they will need to be sorted out, discarding all rotten and moldy ones, as well as freeing them from plant excesses such as ridges and cuttings), but then, nature will do almost everything itself...

Basic blackcurrant recipe

In fact, this is a classic that is recommended for beginners to start with. Berries for the drink can be taken both fresh and frozen (of course, after defrosting them). At the same time, if you want fresh currants to acquire a natural sweetness, you should slightly freeze them before infusing.

Ingredients

  1. Black currants - 1 kg

  2. Vodka or 45-degree alcohol - 1 liter (how to dilute)

  3. Sugar - 100-250 g

The method of preparation

  1. Put the washed currants in a jar.

  2. Mix alcohol with sugar and add to the berries.

  3. Shake the tightly closed jar and put it in a cool, dark place for several weeks.

  4. Drain the tincture, filter through a thick filter and bottle.

  5. Leave the drink in a cool, dark place for another 2-4 weeks for final maturation.

Tincture of red or white currants

The red, and even more so the white varieties of the berry we are interested in are rather inexpressive. But they are more than suitable for tincture, under certain circumstances.

Ingredients

  1. White or red currants - 300 g

  2. Vodka / moonshine / diluted alcohol - 500 ml

  3. Sugar - 100 g

  4. Orange zest - 10 g

The method of preparation

  1. Put the prepared berries in a jar, add the zest, cover with sugar and pour alcohol.

  2. Close the container tightly, shake and send it to a cool dark place for 2 weeks (during this time, the drink should be shaken well every 3-4 days).

  3. Filter the result, bottle it, then either offer it to your guests immediately or cork it and store it in the cellar.

Polish redcurrant tincture on cumin

  2. Vodka - 500 ml

  1. Pour vodka over freshly picked, slightly washed buds.

  2. Insist for 5-7 days (if the drink seems too strong, dilute it with vodka).

  3. Filter and bottle the result.

  4. Store for no longer than two weeks. When the color of the drink turns from emerald to brown, this is a sure sign of its unsuitability (you can swallow it, of course, but only for the sake of drinking).

Grape tincture with red currant

Ingredients

  1. Alcohol - 1 liter

  2. Water - 500 ml

  3. Grapes - 1 kg

  4. Red currant berries - 500 g

  5. Sugar - 500 g

The method of preparation

  1. Mash clean, dry and sorted grapes and red currants well, put them in a large glass container, pour alcohol on top.

  2. Close the container with a lid, leave in a dark place for 14-15 days.

  3. Drain the tincture well, filter.

  4. Prepare sugar syrup and strain hot.

  5. Let cool, combine with tincture, shake and pour into storage bottles.

  6. Seal, keep in a cold dark place for 120-130 days before use.

Tincture on currant juice

Ingredients

  1. Alcohol - 1 liter of alcohol

  2. Fresh juice of any currant (can be a mixture) - 3 liters

  3. Sugar - 2.5 kg

The method of preparation

  1. Pour the currant juice into a large container, cover with sugar and heat over low heat, stirring, until completely dissolved.

  2. Add alcohol, stir, leave covered for 10 days at room temperature.

  3. Drain the infusion, filter well and pour into dry bottles, close tightly.

Tincture on currant leaves

Ingredients

  1. Fresh green leaves of black currant - 45-60 g

  2. Vodka - 1 liter

The method of preparation

  1. Put clean leaves in a bottle, pour vodka and leave in a dark place.

  2. After 5-7 days, strain through 4-5 layers of cheesecloth, pour into a bottle and let stand.

  3. After 1-2 days, filter again.
