Bird cherry (especially black bird cherry) gives the tincture a tart flavor, enriched with pleasant sourness and almond (cherry-amorette) notes.
The alcoholic base for the drink can be medium vodka or grain alcohol diluted with water to 45 degrees. But the most suitable option in this case, we consider well-purified fifty-degree double-distilled moonshine.

The simplest recipe for bird cherry

Ripe bird cherry - 400 g
Strong alcohol - 500 ml

The method of preparation
Sort the berries, removing rotten, moldy and spoiled specimens, as well as leaves and stalks, and then pour them into a suitable jar.
Add sugar to the jar, close it tightly and shake it well (it is necessary that as a result of the resulting shaking, the sugar-covered berry releases juice).
Then, add alcohol, mix everything thoroughly and close it again.
Send the container to a warm, dark place for 2-3 weeks.
Thoroughly filter and bottle the finished drink.
Store for up to a year in the cellar or refrigerator.
Tincture of black bird cherry
Due to the peculiarities of cooking, the drink should turn out to be extremely flavorful.
List of ingredients
Ripe bird cherry - 1 kg
Strong alcohol - 1 liter
Sugar - 200-250 g
The method of preparation
Spread the prepared picked berries in a warm, dark place on a suitable piece of clean cloth (an old sheet or bedspread will do).
After a few days, put the dried fruits, which begin to release juice, into a jar, cover with sugar and pour alcohol.
Keep a tightly closed vessel in a dark room at room temperature for 15-20 days, remembering to shake the vessel periodically (once within 3 days is enough).
Pass the result through a thick cheesecloth filter, bottle and seal them hermetically.
Store in a cool, dark place.
Tincture of dried black bird cherry
The berries for this drink must be whole with intact seeds. In the powder offered at retail, the bones are ground, which can give the tincture an undesirable bitterness. The amount of sugar and alcohol can be varied based on your own preferences.

Strong alcohol - 1-2 liters
Sugar - 50-100 g
The method of preparation
Put the berries in a jar and add sugar, then fill the container to the top with alcohol.
Send the tightly closed container to a dry, warm place for a month, shaking it vigorously every 3-4 days.
Filter the finished drink, lightly squeeze out the cake and bottle it.

Spicy tincture made from dried red bird cherry
Red bird cherry (especially dried), like red currant, does not have a pronounced flavor. Therefore, the tincture prepared from it requires additional ingredients.

Dried red bird cherry - 150 g
Strong alcohol - 1 liter
Sugar - 100-120 g
Cinnamon (optional) - 1/2 or 3/4 stick
Cloves (optional) - 5 pcs.
Ginger (optional) - 3-5 g
Method of preparation
Pour warm boiled water over the bird cherry and leave for several hours.
Drain the berries in a fine colander, then put them in a jar.
Add sugar, chopped cinnamon and other spices as desired. Pour all this with alcohol and close tightly.
Send the container to a dry, warm place for 2 weeks.
Strain the result thoroughly, bottle, seal and send to the cellar for storage.
Bird cherry tincture on moonshine
The tincture according to this recipe resembles a cherry analog. It has a moderate sweetness and fairly high strength, which is typical for this category of drinks.

Black bird cherry - 1.5 liters
Quality moonshine - 2 liters
Sugar - 400 g
Sugar syrup - optional
The method of preparation
First we need to wither the bird cherry. To do this: lay out a clean berry, separated from cuttings and all other debris, on a piece of cloth or newspapers, and dry it for about 4-6 days in a dry, warm place (for example, in the attic).
As soon as the bird cherry begins to shrivel and secrete sticky juice, transfer it to a glass jar, add granulated sugar and pour moonshine without a pungent odor.
After thorough mixing, send the container to a dark place for 14 days for infusion. For the sugar to dissolve completely, the jar must be shaken every 2-3 days.
When the tincture is saturated with a bright color and enriched with the aroma of wild berries, it must be filtered.
Then take a sample and, if necessary, add a little sugar syrup.
Pour the finished drink into bottles and keep it in the refrigerator for several days, and only then proceed to tasting.
Bird cherry tinctures on dried berries
It is important to use only whole black dried berries for this recipe. And as an alcoholic base, homemade double-distilled moonshine or simple vodka is perfect.

Black dried bird cherry - 150 g
Moonshine - 3 л
Granulated sugar - 3 tbsp.
The method of preparation
Pour the berry into a 3 liter jar and pour prepared alcohol.
Insist 3-4 weeks in a warm place without daylight.
Strain the finished infusion, add granulated sugar, mix thoroughly, and then pass it through a purchased or improvised filter.
Pour bird cherry tincture into glass bottles and leave in a cool place for 7 days, and then you can start tasting the drink.
