The Italian family-owned company Luxardo was founded in 1821. It produces drinks such as absinthe, kirsch, gin, brandy, several types of wine and various liqueurs.

The history of absinthe in brief

The history of the company began when the wife of the Consul of the Sardinian Kingdom Girolamo Luxardo in the Kingdom of Dalmatia, became interested in making homemade liqueurs. The first connoisseurs of these drinks were regular guests, who especially liked the cherry liqueur "maraschino". After such success in the production of alcoholic beverages, the couple decided to open their own production.

This is how the Luxardo distillery was born, whose products are now popular in more than 70 countries around the world.

Features of absinthe from Luxardo

The taste is unique, characterized by softness, spice and purity, created by the predominance of wormwood and anise notes. Refreshing minty aftertaste, slightly rounded, minty.

The aroma contains accents of spicy bitter wormwood, green anise, sweet fennel, aromatic coriander cinnamon, mint and cloves.

The drink is a classic digestif. Also used as an ingredient for cocktails, it can be served in the company of creamy ice cream.
