Absinthe Old Tradition: an overview of alcohol

Absinthe Old Tradition from the Czech company Granette & Starorezna Distilleries is a strong alcohol of the highest quality.
The company began its history in 2011 through the merger of two producers of wormwood tinctures - U Zeleného stromu, from the town of Prostějov in the Olomouc region, and Granette from the town of Krasni Brezno. Since 2017, the company has been part of the The Green Tree Distillery, a.s - a large and popular distillery whose history dates back to 1518.
At the moment, Old Tradition is out of production, and the company produces other types of absinthe instead.
Briefly about Old Tradition absinthe
The absinthe is made from selected raw materials, including wormwood, angelica, alewife, lemon balm, licorice, fennel, mint and other herbal ingredients.
Next, the aromatic suspension is subject to distillation.
And the process of creating absinthe is completed by pouring it into stylish glass bottles - flat and massive, with an original shape.
Labels on them are made in vintage style.
It is important to note that the use of synthetic flavors, dyes and other chemicals is completely excluded in the production of the drink.
Taste and aroma of Old Tradition
Old Tradition absinthe has no color and flavor variations, only one flavor of the drink is produced.
Old Tradition - has a transparent light green color. It is characterized by 70% strength and thujone content of 10 mg per 1 liter.
The mild flavor of the drink combines tones of wormwood, anise and notes of liquorice.
Wormwood bitterness is replaced by the freshness of mint in the long aftertaste.
The aroma is rich and expressive, it begins with anise motifs, complemented by accents of spices and herbs.
Old Tradition absinthe can be consumed in different ways: as part of cocktails, and in its pure form.
If you want to try Old Tradition as an independent drink, then we advise you to resort to the most popular method that will help you to reveal the beauty of the taste.
To do this, take a piece of sugar and put it on a special absinthe spoon, which is previously placed on a glass of alcohol, and soak the sweet slice with absinthe.
After that, the sugar must be set on fire and as soon as the resulting caramel flows into a glass with absinthe, dilute it with three parts of water.
Such a maneuver will soften the taste and aroma of alcohol, and it will become easier and more pleasant to drink.
