Mulled wine in a slow cooker: 5 recipes at home

Wine lovers do not deny themselves the pleasure of a glass of hot mulled wine in the cold season. After all, it helps to keep you warm and can even cheer you up.
But even big mulled wine connoisseurs don't always make it at home. In order not to stand at the stove, a popular device that is nowadays available in almost every kitchen - a slow cooker - will come to your aid.
Scandinavian mulled wine in a slow cooker
Ingredients
Red dry wine - 750 ml
Orange - 1 pc.
Cinnamon stick - 1 pc.
Almonds - 7 pcs.
Star anise - 2 stars
Cloves - 15 buds
Granulated sugar - 2 tbsp.
Dried ginger root - 1-2 small pieces
Cognac - 2-3 tbsp. л. (optional)
A small handful of raisins
The method of preparation
Turn on the slow cooker to the "heating" mode and pour in a bottle of wine.
Then cut the almonds in half and add them to the red wine along with all the spices.
Close the lid of the slow cooker and continue to warm the drink in the same mode.
After 10 minutes, squeeze the juice out of the orange, cut the fruit into thin slices and add it to the mulled wine with sugar. You can also add cognac at this stage.
Close the container with a lid again and heat for another 20 minutes.
After the specified time, turn off the slow cooker and leave the drink for about 30 minutes under the lid.
The Scandinavian mulled wine is ready, all that remains is to pour it into glasses.
Mulled red wine with lemon
Ingredients
Dry red wine - 750 ml
Lemon - 2 pieces.
Granulated sugar - 200 g
Cloves - 2 pcs.
Ground nutmeg - 2 g
Ground cinnamon - 1.5 g
Method of preparation
Pour the wine into the multicooker bowl and cut the lemons into slices.
Turn on the "steamer" or "multicooker" mode, add spices and cook the drink for about 15 minutes at a temperature not exceeding 75 degrees.
Then turn off the slow cooker, close the lid and leave for 15-20 minutes.
Strain the mulled wine and pour it into suitable glasses.
Fragrant mulled white wine
Ingredients
Table white wine - 1 bottle
Honey - 50 g
Orange - 1 pc.
Lemon - 1 piece.
Cinnamon, vanilla, ginger - 2 g each
Cardamom - 5 pieces.
Cloves - 3 buds
The method of preparation
Cut the fruit into thin slices.
Pour the wine into the slow cooker and add all the ingredients.
Turn on the "steamer" mode and heat the drink for about 15 minutes. Make sure that the temperature does not exceed 75 degrees.
After 15 minutes, cover the container with a lid and let it brew for a while.
Then the mulled wine must be filtered through a fine strainer and you can enjoy the taste and aroma of the finished drink.
Mulled wine in a slow cooker with fruit
Ingredients
Red wine - 750 ml
Apple - 1 pc.
Orange - 1 pc.
Cinnamon - 2 g
Ginger - 2 g
Cloves - 3 pcs.
Granulated sugar - 100 g
The method of preparation
Wash the apple and orange and cut them into medium-sized cubes.
Pour a bottle of prepared wine into the multicooker bowl, add all the spices and fruits.
Cook the drink in the "multicooker" or "steamer" mode for about 15-20 minutes.
After the timer beeps, cover the slow cooker with a lid for 15 minutes.
Before tasting, you can strain the mulled wine with fruit through a strainer or cheesecloth.
Mulled wine with coffee and cognac in a slow cooker
Ingredients
Dry red wine - 750 ml
Brewed coffee - 350 ml
Cognac - 150 ml
Cinnamon - 2 g
Cloves - 2 buds
Granulated sugar - 100 g
The method of preparation
To begin with, you need to pre-brew coffee, we need 350 ml of the finished product.
Mix red wine, good cognac, coffee, granulated sugar and spices in a multicooker bowl.
Cook mulled wine on the "steamer" function for about 15 minutes.
Then turn off, cover and leave the drink for another 15-20 minutes.
Mulled wine with coffee and cognac is ready. We just need to prepare glasses for serving (just pour boiling water over them) and pour our drink.
