Rosehip tincture and liqueur: 4 recipes at home

Many people like to brew rose hips and use them for medicinal purposes, but few people know that boiling water destroys ascorbic acid in large volumes. Even more than alcohol.
And in this regard, we propose to prepare a homemade rosehip tincture, which will definitely help strengthen the immune system and cheer up. You can use raw, dried, and, of course, dried berries. After all, they will be much more useful.
It is important to know! Rosehips give the tincture a very weak flavor, so to prevent the drink from seeming too bland, we will add ingredients with a pronounced aroma during the preparation process.
Homemade rosehip tincture with honey and bay leaf
Ingredients
Dried rose hips - 1 cup
Vodka - 4 liters
Honey - 0.5 tbsp.
Bay leaf - 4 pieces.
The method of preparation
Mix all the ingredients in a glass container for infusion and leave in a dark room for as long as you have the patience (but not less than one month).
After that, strain the tincture and then filter it.
Pour the drink into bottles.
Let the flavor stabilize for about a week before tasting.
Rosehip tincture with pine nuts
Ingredients
Dried or fresh rose hips - 15 pcs.
Pine nuts - 100 g
Vodka - 3 liters
Lemon zest - 1 tbsp.
Oak bark - 2 tbsp.
Juniper - 1 tbsp.
Liquorice - 5 slices (optional)
The method of preparation
Mix all the ingredients with the alcoholic base in a glass container of a suitable size. Let it stand for about one month in a dark place at room temperature.
After the specified time, strain the tincture and then pass it through a filter.
At this stage, the drink can be slightly sweetened with syrup and left for another week to settle.
Then pour it into glass bottles.
Rosehip tincture is ready, you can start tasting.
Fragrant rosehip tincture on moonshine
Ingredients
Dried rose hips - 10 pcs.
Moonshine (40-45%) - 500 ml
Orange peel - a couple of slices
Natural coffee (coarse grind) - 1/4 h. л. л.
Sugar syrup - maximum 1 tbsp. (optional)
The method of preparation
First, crush the rose hips to bring out their flavor and aroma in the finished drink.
Now we put all the ingredients (except for the syrup) in a jar and fill it with good, high-quality moonshine, but you can take not the most successful distillation. Leave for two weeks at room temperature, in a dark room.
After two weeks, strain the drink and then filter it thoroughly through a coffee or cotton filter.
If desired, add to the tincture sugar syrup and leave for another 2-3 days to fully consolidate the taste. And filter again.
Pour the finished product into bottles and you can take a sample.
Rosehip liqueur
Ingredients
Rose hips - 500 g
Alcohol - 1.5 liters
Cinnamon - 1 piece
Orange - ½ piece.
Sugar syrup - 400 ml
Method of preparation
Peel the orange with a thin knife, cut into slices. Put orange peels, rose hips and cinnamon in a jar, pour alcohol.
Leave for 15 days, then drain and filter the liquid.
Mix the tincture with cold sugar syrup, stir (you can strain it again), pour into prepared clean and dry bottles.
Let stand for another week. The liquor is ready!
