Cloudberry liqueur and liqueur: 3 recipes at home

Cloudberries are considered an exquisite delicacy in Finland. They are used to prepare many dishes, including soft and low-alcohol drinks, and cloudberry liqueur is the hallmark of Finland.
The world learned about this amazing liqueur thanks to the Lapponia brand.
To prepare this liqueur at home, you can use fresh or pre-thawed berries.
Classic cloudberry liqueur
Ingredients
Cloudberries - 600 g
Vodka - 1 л
Granulated sugar - 500 g
Water - 500 ml
Method of preparation
Rinse the cloudberries well in water, sort through and remove spoiled berries, then grind them with a blender or meat grinder.
Put the prepared berries in a glass container and pour vodka. Insist in a dark place at room temperature for 10 days.
Let's make the classic sugar syrup.
After cooling, pour it into the cloudberry vodka and let it brew for another 2 weeks.
Do not forget to shake the contents of the container every day.
After 14 days, strain the liquor through a fine strainer and filter through a homemade or purchased filter. Pour into glass bottles.
Store the finished cloudberry liqueur for no more than 5 years in a cool place.
Cloudberry liqueur with honey on cognac
In this recipe, honey will make the smell of the liqueur very fragrant and the taste milder compared to the classic recipe.
Cognac will complement cloudberry liqueur with woody notes.
Ingredients
Cloudberries - 300 g
Cognac - 500 ml
Honey - 400 g
Water - 200 ml
Method of preparation
Rinse the cloudberries well in water, sort through and remove spoiled berries, then grind them with a blender or meat grinder.
Put the prepared berries in a glass container and pour cognac over them. Insist in a dark place at room temperature for 10 days.
After 10 days, add honey and water to the cloudberry tincture, mix well and let it brew for another 2 weeks.
Do not forget to shake the contents of the container daily.
After 14 days, the liquor must be filtered through a fine strainer and filtered through a homemade or purchased filter. Pour into glass bottles.
Store the finished cloudberry liqueur for no more than 5 years in a cool place.
Cloudberry liqueur
Ingredients
Vodka - 1 л
Fresh cloudberry juice - 200 ml
Water - 250 ml of water
Sugar - 100 g
The method of preparation
Prepare fresh juice from ripe cloudberries.
Boil water, add sugar, stir until dissolved and cool.
Mix cloudberry juice with sugar syrup, vodka and leave in a closed container for 3 days at room temperature.
Drain, filter through several layers of gauze or cotton wool.
Pour into a storage bottle, cork, keep in a dark place.
