Tincture and liqueur on strawberries: 4 recipes at home

Tips before you start
For all four recipes, you first need to carefully sort through the berry, remove moldy, rotten and spoiled berries.
As an alcoholic base for strawberry tincture, you can use vodka, diluted to 40% alcohol.
You can use any strawberry (garden or wild) to make the drink.
Strawberries should be ripe, green ones can give a sour taste.
Fresh, frozen or dried berries are suitable for making liqueur or tincture from strawberries (you need to take half as much dry as indicated in the recipe).
Classic recipe for strawberry liqueur (without alcohol)
Ingredients
Ripe strawberries - 2 kg
Granulated sugar - 550 g
The method of preparation
Sort and rinse the berries in a large container of water. For convenience, you can use a colander.
Separate the strawberries from the green cuttings and transfer them to sterile glass containers.
Add granulated sugar 275 g per 1 kg of strawberries. Very important fill the entire contents of the container used, observing the required proportions.
Spread the sugar evenly by shaking the container well 2-3 times. Then fix cheesecloth on the neck and put the container in a warm place for 2-4 days.
When signs of fermentation appear (sour odor or foam), instead of cheesecloth, you need to put a water seal or a clean glove with a small hole in the finger. And place the container in a dark place (temperature range from 18 to 26C). If the liquor has not started to ferment, then you need to add 1-2 tablespoons of unwashed raisins or fresh strawberries.
After 2-6 weeks, fermentation should end and you need to filter the liquor through a homemade filter or use special filters. The filtration can be repeated several times until the desired transparency of the liqueur is obtained. Now you can pour the strawberry liqueur with a strength of 8 to 12% into bottles. When stored in a cool, dark place, the shelf life is no more than 3 years.
