Xenta absinthe: history, how it is made, types + how to distinguish a fake

Xenta is created by skillfully mixing natural extracts of wormwood and other selected herbs, which, thanks to the action of the active substances contained in them, give the drink an exquisite taste and delicate, incomparable aroma.
The history of Xenta absinthe
The drink is produced at an old distillery in Moncalieri, Turin, Italy. Xenta Absinthe takes its inspiration from the original formula developed in 1792 by Dr. Pierre Ordiner, a French physician who immigrated to Switzerland during the French Revolution.
In 1870, Riccardo Ferrero, the founder of the distillery, redesigned this formula and prepared a strong drink, the recipe of which is still kept in the strictest confidence and passed down from generation to generation.
How Xenta absinthe is made
The herbs are infused with alcohol tincture, and demineralized water is added to the extract to reduce the alcohol content.
Then the mixture is carefully filtered to get rid of impurities. The result is an incomparable emerald green color, which has an amazing transparency inherent only in Xenta.
Before bottling, absinthe is additionally infused.
