Guava syrup: 2 recipes at home

Sweet, tropical guava syrup is perfect for pancakes, waffles and various drinks.
Also try pouring the warmed guava syrup over vanilla ice cream. Or use the syrup as a sauce for a fresh fruit salad.
The classic guava syrup recipe
The ingredients
Guava - 8 pieces.
Sugar - ½ cup
Water - 4 cups
Vanilla - 1 stick
Cinnamon - 1 stick
Method of preparation
Peel the guava from the peel. Cut them in half crosswise and use a spoon to remove the seeds.
In a large saucepan, combine the guava, sugar, water, vanilla as well as the cinnamon stick.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
Remove from heat and let the syrup steep for 20 minutes.
Filter your syrup through a sieve. Guava pulp can be used for cooking.
Pour the syrup into a container with a tight-fitting lid. Store in the refrigerator.
Guava syrup recipe with honey
Ingredients
Guava - 4 pieces.
Water - 1 cup
Honey - 1/3 cup
The method of preparation
Wash the guava, cut in half and remove the seeds.
Place the guava in a small saucepan face down along with one cup of water.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat to a minimum and cook for at least ten minutes. Cooking time depends on the size and thickness of the fruit. The aim is to keep them soft.
As soon as they are soft, take them out of the water and put them in a sieve. Use a spoon to crush the juices.
Collect all the guava juices and pour 1/4 - 1/3 cup of honey into it and mix.
Add the mixture to a blender to make the syrup more homogeneous.
The guava syrup is ready! The next day the taste is even better.
