White dry Georgian wines
-
White dry vintage wine, which is a kind of leader among other wines.
One of the oldest (produced since 1886) and most delicious white wines. It has a light light color and a pleasant taste with honey notes.
Served chilled, it goes surprisingly well with absolutely everything: fruit, grilled vegetables, meat and fish.
Tip
Somewhat similar to cinsandali, but has a less pronounced sourness in its bouquet.
It has a pleasant delicate aroma, vaguely reminiscent of floral.
Ideal for drinking without food.
Ereti
A unique wine in its own way, with a very delicate taste and aroma.
It is made from first-pressed grape juice.
Oddly enough, this is the wine that is recommended to be consumed without long aging - immediately after bottling and appearance on store shelves.
Tibaani
Pleasant, sweetish-sour wine with an alcohol content of 11.5% to 13%.
It has a rich amber color and a peculiar taste reminiscent of raisins.
The wine has been on the market since 1948, aged in oak barrels buried in the ground for about two years.
-
The name is identical to the grape variety from which it is produced.
Like tibaani, rkatsiteli is fermented in large oak or clay barrels buried in the ground.
Rkatsiteli has its own unique taste - you will recognize it immediately! Moderately sour, moderately sweet wine has a pleasant aroma.
Suitable as an aperitif, goes well with chicken.
Mtsvane
A wonderful wine with a very light and unobtrusive taste and aroma.
It has pleasant honey and plum notes, as well as a delicate straw color.
Perfect with appetizers in the form of fruits, meat and vegetables, seafood.
White semi-dry Georgian wines
Tbilisuri
Wine that is perfect for Georgian suluguni.
It has a pleasant taste, complemented by pleasant sweetness and moderate acidity.
Served chilled, also goes well with fish and meat.
-
Produced both in red and white. Saperavi and Rkatsiteli grapes are used to produce this wine.
By the way, the wine is named after Nico Pirosmani, an artist who popularized primitivism in art. His works are used to design labels for Georgian wines.
