Blue champagne: what it is, brands, and whether to buy it

Blue champagne was created in Spain quite recently. It is based on Muscat grapes, which are one of the sweetest grapes.
Two organic pigments are added to the drink: indigo and anthocyanins contained in the grape skin. The producers say that they have collaborated with researchers from the University of the Basque Country to develop the wine and their product fully complies with European food standards.
Blue color does not affect the taste of the drink at all. But it is worth noting that sugar is not used in its production, which helps to enhance the fermentation process. Artificial sweeteners are used.
