About the brand

The Shildaig whiskey line consists of three types and represents three Scottish regions of this drink production. Produced by IAN MACLEOD Distillers Ltd, which is one of the largest and most recognized independent family-owned companies in the spirits industry. The company was founded in 1933 by Leonard Russell. He has always imposed the most stringent conditions on the quality of the product, which has quickly established a good reputation for the company.

Types of Shieldaig whiskey

  1. Shieldaig Highland

    Shieldaig Highland

    Aging: at least 6 years in bourbon barrels.

    The whiskey has a sweet creamy vanilla flavor with hints of grain, caramel and bread, complemented by nuances of oak wood and spices. The taste is mild, with tropical fruits in it, and candied fruits and spices in the aftertaste.

  2. Shieldaig Speyside

    Shieldaig Speyside

    Aging: minimum 6 years in bourbon casks.

    The aroma is filled with tones of ripe exotic fruits, cream and vanilla, notes of malt and spices are felt. The taste is smooth and balanced, with rich hints of oak and spices, and a spicy-fruity aftertaste.

  3. Shieldaig Islay

    Shieldaig Islay

    Aging: at least 6 years in bourbon casks.

    As expected from an island whiskey, the aroma is characteristic, with tones of peat, salty nuances, and dried fruits and chocolate in the background. The taste is very powerful, not burning, with a very long aftertaste, which is filled with hints of peat smoke, algae and spicy dried fruits.
