Tincture of sea buckthorn: 3 recipes at home

To prepare the tincture, you can use fresh, dried and frozen berries. But it should be remembered that a fresh berry will not last more than two days, and to preserve its appearance and useful properties, you can pour sea buckthorn with water at room temperature and put it in the refrigerator. This little secret will extend the shelf life of the berry.

Sea buckthorn tincture on vodka
Ingredients
Sea buckthorn - 1 kg
Vodka - 1,5-2 л
Granulated sugar - optional
Water - optional
The method of preparation
Fill the glass container with sea buckthorn to 2/3 of the volume and pour the alcohol base to the top.
Insist 60-90 days in a dark, warm place.
After the specified time, drain the tincture, and lightly squeeze the berries. Then we send the sea buckthorn tincture for 2-3 days in the refrigerator so that the fatty fraction surfaces.
Once the oil has surfaced, collect it with a syringe or spoon. The oil can be used for medicinal purposes.
Now you need to filter the tincture several times. After that, you can add water and sugar to achieve the strength you need. At this stage, the strength of the drink is about 30 degrees.
Let it brew in a cool place for one month. If the drink becomes cloudy, it must be passed through the filter again.
Then we bottle it and enjoy the taste of the finished homemade sea buckthorn tincture.
Sea buckthorn tincture on alcohol
Ingredients
Sea buckthorn berry - 1 liter jar
Granulated sugar - 9 tbsp.
Alcohol 96% - 1 liter
Water is optional
The method of preparation
The sea buckthorn must be thoroughly ground with sugar using a wooden spatula.
Put the prepared berries in a glass jar, cover with cheesecloth and put in a warm place for 3-4 days to start the fermentation process.
After the specified time, pour alcohol into the jar and let it brew in a warm, dark place for at least 30 days.
After 30 days, gently drain the tincture and pass it through a filter.
If you want to reduce the strength of the finished drink, then it's time to add water and a little more sugar if necessary. Then insist 7-14 days.
Then you can use two methods. The first is to pour the tincture into glass bottles and shake constantly during tasting so that the oil is evenly distributed throughout the drink. The second is to use the oil collection technique as in paragraph 4 of the first recipe.
Store the finished sea buckthorn tincture on alcohol for no more than one year.
Tincture of moonshine on sea buckthorn
Ingredients
Frozen sea buckthorn berry - 1 liter
Moonshine - 2 л
Walnut membranes - 1.5-2 tbsp.
Honey - to taste
The method of preparation
Pour the walnut membranes into a liter jar, pour moonshine and leave for 7 days in a dark, warm place.
Transfer sea buckthorn to another jar, pour the remaining alcohol and send it to the nut membranes for tincture for 1 week.
After the specified time, drain the sea buckthorn tincture and pour it into a clean container. It can be used for medicinal purposes, in this recipe we will not need it anymore.
Pass the tincture on the membranes through a filter and pour the alcoholized berries. Let it brew in a dark place for 2-3 weeks.
Then pass the infusion through a filter, add honey to taste and pour into glass bottles.
Before tasting, it is necessary to stand for a few more days.
