Beaver jet tincture: healing properties, how to drink + recipe at home

In the arsenal of folk medicine, there are both commonly available and very specific drugs. Beaver jet tincture should definitely be attributed to the latter.
It is quite problematic to obtain a fragrant extract on your own: it is easier to purchase ready-made powder in a pharmacy or online store. On sale you can often find beaver jet under alternative names: castoreum, castocrin, musk.
The specific substance is secreted by special glands located in the caudal region of river beavers. Animals use it to "mark" their territory. The secret is a dense mass of brown color with a pronounced musky and tarry odor.
Previously, to obtain beaver jet, animals had to be killed. Today, industrial extraction from live animals has been established. In addition to medicine, the substance is used in the perfumery industry.
The healing properties of beaver jet
The popular rumor attributes to the miracle remedy the ability to cure almost all diseases: from oncology and cardiovascular pathologies to prostatitis, cystitis, pneumonia and impotence... However, only a few beneficial effects have been scientifically confirmed: antispasmodic, sedative, immunomodulatory.
Everyone can drink the medicine in the form of capsules, except for children under 12 years of age, people with individual intolerance and pregnant women.
The use of ointments and suppositories based on beaver jet is not limited. As for the alcohol tincture, it can only be taken by adults who are not contraindicated to drink alcohol.
When treating children, it is better to limit yourself to water infusion or powder.
Before starting any procedures, you should consult your doctor.
How to drink beaver jet tincture

You can also use the infusion to soak compresses in case of joint problems, skin diseases.
It is believed that the remedy accelerates the healing of wounds, burns, cuts, resorbs scars and bruises.

Recipe for beaver jet at home
The most popular option for preparing a healing elixir is a recipe for vodka/alcohol. The alcohol strength should be around 40 degrees. If you have whole iron, you need to dry and grate it before cooking.
You can also use powder purchased at a pharmacy. It is recommended to wear gloves before working with the fragrant secretion, as its smell is quite strong and it will be difficult to get rid of the musky "scent".
