Spice box: a guide to alcohol

Briefly about the drink
Spicebox - is an almost standard blended whiskey created from malt and grain distillates that have been aged in oak barrels for three to six years. Produced by the Canadian company Maison des Futailles, an important player in the Quebec alcohol market. The company has 85 years of experience in satisfying the most demanding requests of wine and other alcoholic beverages lovers.
This whiskey is "almost standard" due to its features and history, which began during the American Prohibition, when the importation and consumption of alcoholic beverages were prohibited. Then an enterprising Canadian came up with a way to transport alcohol in boxes labeled "Spices". At that time, such cargo was not inspected by customs, so whiskey was safely transported across the border.
In barrels with spices, whiskey inevitably changed, which later resulted in the emergence of a new style of Canadian whiskey - spiced whiskey. Various recipes were developed, the Spicebox line expanded and today offers a product for any occasion.

How to drink Spicebox
Spicebox is recommended to be consumed neat, optionally with ice. The drink itself should not be chilled in the freezer, it is better to serve it at room temperature.
It will set off other ingredients in cocktails, so if you don't like strong alcohol, you should try diluting it with tonic. However, remember that Spicebox itself has a mild flavor, which is further softened by sweetness and spices.
According to the laws of the Russian Federation, Spicebox is not called whiskey, but spirits. You should not be afraid of this phrase on the Russian counter-label and price tag, because it is just a flaw in the Russian classification. Pay attention to the "native" Canadian label, Spicebox - whiskey itself.
