Classic fig liqueur

Ingredients

  1. Fresh ripe figs - 1 kg

  2. Water - 800 g

  3. Sugar - 1 kg

  4. Alcohol - 1 liter

Method of preparation

  1. Mash well-washed figs, cover with water, let stand for 5 days.

  2. Strain the infusion, squeeze in a gauze bag with 4-5 layers.

  3. Pour the liquid into a jar, add sugar, pour alcohol, mix well.

  4. Let the drink stand with a lid on the container.

  5. Filter the liquor, pour into small containers, keep in dry conditions.

Spicy fig liqueur

For alcoholization, you can use any strong alcohol: vodka, moonshine, cognac. The amount of sugar is determined to your taste.

Ingredients

  1. Figs - 5 berries

  2. Alcohol - 0.5 liters

  3. Sugar - 150-200 g

  4. Water - 200 g

  5. Ginger - 20 g

  6. Cloves - 1-2 pcs.

The method of preparation

  1. Wash ginger and figs, cut them into cubes, and put them in a glass container.

  2. Add cloves, pour alcohol, stir and leave in a closed container for 2 weeks, shaking regularly.

  3. Strain the infusion through a cheesecloth, squeeze out the solid mass, dissolve sugar in the liquid and transfer the drink to a cool place.

  4. After 5-6 days, pour the liquor into small bottles.

Liqueur on fig leaves

The drink is flavorful and goes well with ice or in cocktails.

Ingredients

  1. Gin - 2 liters

  2. Water - 2 liters

  3. Fig leaves - 40 pcs.

  4. Sugar - 1.5 kg

The method of preparation

  1. Wash the leaves, dry them, divide into 3 parts, pour gin over two of them and leave them to infuse in the cool and dark for 24 hours.

  2. Strain the infusion, pour into a fresh bottle, add half the water.

  3. Sweeten the second part of the water with sugar, make hot syrup.

  4. Grind the remaining leaves with a blender, mix with the cooled syrup and let it brew for 24 hours.

  5. Filter the infusion, heat until hot (do not boil!), let cool and pour into the first drink.

  6. Put the mixture in a cool, shaded place and leave for two weeks or more.

Fig and honey liqueur with spices

The mixture of spices can be chosen at your discretion. Cardamom must be present. As an addition: cloves, black pepper, ginger, cinnamon, fennel. The liqueur is good as a digestif and as a warming drink in the cold season.

Ingredients

  1. Dried figs - 25 pieces.

  2. Cognac (brandy) - 0.75 liters

  3. Spices - 2 h. л.

  4. Liquid honey - 0.35 liters

  5. Water - 1 glass

The method of preparation

  1. Boil water, add spices, let it brew for 5 minutes, strain, dissolve honey in the liquid, wait for it to cool.

  2. Pour the spicy infusion into a volumetric vessel, add cognac and finely chopped figs, shake the mixture.

  3. Close the container, transfer to a cool corner without access to light, leave for 2-4 days.

  4. Pass the infusion through a cloth and cotton wool, distribute it in small vessels, let it mature for about 1 year.

Christmas fig liqueur

The drink is ideal as an aperitif, combined with sparkling water, lemon and ice. Serve with cheese dishes, dried fruit and smoked sausage. A mixture of red wine, sugar and cognac can be used instead of port.

Ingredients

  1. Dried figs - 400 g

  2. Vanilla - 1 pod or sachet

  3. Coriander - 2 tbsp.

  4. Allspice - 1 tbsp.

  5. Dried orange peel - 1 long strip

  6. Port wine - 0,75 l

The method of preparation

  1. Cut figs into large pieces, put in a jar.

  2. Add spices and orange peel, pour alcohol over the solid ingredients.

  3. Leave to infuse for 1 to 3 months in a cool and dark place (taste the liqueur during this period, when you like the taste, it's time to filter).

  4. Filter before use.

Caramel fig liqueur

One of the most delicious and easiest to make drinks from figs.

Ingredients

  1. Fresh figs - 5 pcs.

  2. Sugar - 2 tbsp.

  3. Starch - 1 tsp.

  4. Water - 3 tbsp.

  5. Vanilla - 1 pod

  6. Dry white wine - 0.5 l

The method of cooking

  1. Rinse the figs, chop them finely, put them in a glass container.

  2. Heat a frying pan, pour sugar on it, fry until soft brown (make caramel).

  3. Add vanilla to the caramel, add wine in small portions and leave to boil over low heat until the mixture is partially boiled, stirring regularly.

  4. Dissolve starch in water, pour into a frying pan.

  5. After boiling the mixture again, add it to the vessel with the figs.

  6. Cover the container with a lid, wait for the liquid to cool, strain through a sieve.

  7. Pour the drink into a bottle, keep it cold.
