Absinthe Paul Devoille: a guide to alcohol

An overview of absinthe
Yellow French absinthe with 68% strength. The taste of absinthe is distinctly bitter, dominated by hints of herbs and wormwood. The aroma reveals a bouquet of herbal tones, among which wormwood comes to the fore. Absinthe is recommended to be served diluted with water, soda or tonic, with ice or a piece of sugar.
Unfortunately, the manufacturer did not indicate the amount of thujone in the drink, and there is no information about this absinthe on the official website, which is a bit annoying Shake it up. However, it is still worth a try, because the main specialization of the manufacturer is Calvados, apparently the color of this absinthe is a certain reference to apple alcohol.
About the manufacturer
Domaine Dupont has long been producing the best calvados in all of France. The homeland of this wonderful drink is a region in the northeast of the Calvados department, the eponymous Pays d'Auge, which is famous for its soils, characteristic humidity and vast expanses. Strong drinks from this region are oily and have a longer aging.
In 1980, Etienne Dupont became the head of the family ownership of Domaine Dupont, inheriting it from his father Louis Dupont. The extraordinarily beautiful family estate is located in the heart of the Pays d'Auge, and Etienne has not only completely preserved the previously planted magnificent orchards, but also significantly expanded their territory. Now the gardens cover an area of 27 hectares, where about 6000 different apple trees are grown.
