Absinthe Grande Absente 69: an overview of the taste and types

For more than 100 years, Distilleries et Domaines de Provence has been offering its unique spirits, including absinthes, created in the Upper Provence region. The company was founded in 1898 and produces alcohol according to the inherited tradition, the history of which is several thousand years old.
Brand history
From the very beginning, it was the production of drinks with medicinal properties: medicinal plants that grew on Mount Lure were collected and distilled.
The traders who did this work in the 17th and 18th centuries were something like modern pharmacists.
But over time, technologies changed and by the end of the XIX century, some of the "pharmacists" became distillers - they began producing cleansing, tonic and digestive alcoholic beverages with refreshing properties.
Wine and alcohol, maceration and distillation were used to extract and preserve the flavors of plants and active substances.
Distilleries and Domaines de Provence have kept this experience to this day and continue to produce traditional drinks.
