Sir Edwards whiskey: history, overview of flavors and types

The blended scotch "Sir Edward's", which is part of the product portfolio of the alcohol giant "Bardinet", is produced according to the recipe of the XIX century.
The drink with an exceptional mild flavor, born as a result of triple distillation, is sold in almost a hundred countries, ranking 12th in popularity among Scotch whisky brands.
History of the Sir Edwards brand
The first bottle of "Sir Edward's" was released in 1891 at a small Scottish distillery, which today belongs to the Bardin family.
Long before the acquisition of the popular brand, the French alcohol corporation had effectively introduced Negrita rum to the international market. The success of the drink was so great that the owners of the company decided to expand the range with several more types of alcohol: punch, liqueurs, brandy, cocktails. A little later, the company's products included blended scotch, the production of which was organized in the heart of Scotland.
The art of mixing ingredients and creating new flavors has always been a passion of the Bardine family. The founder of the corporation devoted every free minute to it. However, in the production of scotch, it was decided to adhere to ancient local traditions. The technology was supplemented only by an unusual for the Scots triple distillation.
In 2011, the drink, which is a perfect balance of grain and malt components, won the second prize at the International Whisky Masters Awards.
