Moonshine from beets: 3 recipes at home

Along with the highest quality bread drink, beet alcohol is considered a classic of moonshine making. Such alcohol requires minimal effort and allows you to get quite a lot of the finished product.
Tips before you start
It is recommended to use sugar beets: they ferment better, but fodder beets are also suitable.
Distillation is performed twice to achieve a cleaner composition and eliminate the unpleasant vegetable odor.
The quality of the starter is checked with a match (if it burns, the brew is ready) or a taste test (it should be sweet).
To improve the color and smell of the finished moonshine before distillation, add calgan (root), mint, bay or red pepper to the composition.
Production waste (brew) can be reused by adding the necessary ingredients: the quality of the final product will be much better.
It is better to choose a wooden or enameled container for the fermentation.
Beetroot three-step moonshine
The yield of the finished product in this case will be about 5 liters.
If desired, millet can be added to the recipe: 4 liters of "triple" beetroot broth requires 2 kg of cereal, the mixture is infused for 5 days, diluted with 15 liters of beetroot liquid and kept for another 2 weeks.
Ingredients
Sugar beet - 20 kg
Yeast - 0.2 kg
The method of preparation
Grate the vegetable, soak in water, boil for an hour and a half, pour the broth into a large container.
Pour the beetroot mass again with water, boil, and strain the broth into the same container.
Repeat the process for the third time, dilute yeast in the resulting mixture of decoctions.
Allow the liquid to infuse for about half a month, after fermentation, distill.
Moonshine "Beetroot light"
The specified amount of raw materials will produce about 4-5 liters of alcohol. If you use only the juice after boiling the beets and throw away the pulp, you can do without sugar: 30 liters of beet liquid will require 0.2 kg of yeast.
The infusion period in this case is increased by 2 days.
Ingredients
Beets - 8 kg
Sugar - 2 kg
Yeast - ½ kg
Water - 10 liters
Method of preparation
Grate the beets, boil, soak in water, cool to a warm state.
Add yeast and sugar to the infusion, leave for 3-4 days.
After lowering the beet mass to the bottom and the appearance of a crust, mix the brew and distill.
Moonshine from beet waste
From the given amount of raw materials, about 7 liters of alcohol are obtained.
Ingredients
Beetroot mash - 1 bucket
Yeast - 0.2-0.25 kg
Water - 25 liters
The method of preparation
Dissolve the yeast in the beetroot liquid, pour in water.
Put the mixture in heat for 7-8 days, distill twice.
