Tequila Milagro: author's review + types

Tequila Leyenda del Milagro (Legend of a miracle - Vysp.), called simply "Milagro tequila" in the circle of connoisseurs and admirers, is a young, but at the same time very popular premium drink.
The secret of its popularity lies in a rather successful and harmonious combination of tradition and creativity. The downside of this symbiosis is the high cost of the drink, which automatically makes it export-oriented.
General description of Milagro tequila
Forty-degree Milagro tequila is made exclusively from Blue Agave alcohol, which grows in the most favorable corner of Jalisco state: the Los Altos area. Ripe agave cones are steamed in classic brick ovens. This process takes longer than usual, which gives all brands of the drink a spicy smoky flavor.
During the fermentation of agave juice, special branded yeast is used, which gives the taste of tequila from the Milagro distillery its characteristic bitter vanilla and citrus notes. Triple distillation, which is carried out in classic copper stills, gives the drink a special softness.
At the same time, the products of the Select Barrel Reserve line, as well as the exclusive Único II brand, are bottled in handmade crystal bottles decorated with an elegant agave piña bas-relief on the inside of the bottom.
Types of Milagro tequila
Milagro Silver
Young unaged distillate. It has a fresh aroma with a hint of citrus. Rich smoky agave flavor accompanied by a bitter peppery aftertaste. I recommend drinking it hot without salt, but with seafood with lime and pepper sauce.
Milagro Reposado
Golden aperitif with about six months of aging. Contact with a bourbon barrel gives the drink caramel notes that are complemented by a spicy aftertaste.
Milagro Añejo
A dark amber digestif that has been aged in bourbon barrels for 14 months to a year and a half. The aroma has woody, caramel and coconut flavors. The taste is enriched with chocolate, tobacco and coconut insinuations.
Milagro Select Barrel Reserve Silver
For 59 days it is aged in new French oak barrels, which does not affect the transparency of the drink. The taste of this aperitif tequila is characterized by lemon motifs.
Milagro Select Barrel Reserve Reposado
Spends up to 10 months in new French oak barrels. More of a digestif than an aperitif. The aroma evokes cognac associations. Vanilla, cinnamon and pepper tones are guessed in the spicy taste and aftertaste.
Milagro Select Barrel Reserve Añejo
Another digestif of dark amber color, which has not left French oak barrels for three years. This fact makes the taste of tequila more balanced and gives its aftertaste a subtle hint of creamy toffee.
Milagro Único II
An elite blend of unaged tequila and spirits from the Select Barrel Reserve Añejo and Reposado. Thanks to filtration and oxygen enrichment, the drink is almost colorless. According to the producers, vanilla, mint, and oak hints can be detected in its aroma. In the taste, after a honey-anise prelude, there comes a fruity minty apogee, smoothly ending with a spicy aftertaste with chocolate and nutty undertones and woody counterpoint.
