Crumbles: what is it + 2 recipes at home

Krammbulla is a Belarusian national drink, which contains honey, alcohol and various spices. It is a kind of variation of honey tincture.

The name of the alcoholic beverage was derived from the famous world liqueur Krambambuli, for the preparation of which brandy and juniper are used. This alcohol was produced only in a few factories in Gdańsk.

Krambamboo became widely popular in the early 2000s. Today, the drink can be seen in bars and restaurants in the CIS countries, and in Belarus, the creation of krumbumbulla has been established at the industrial level.

The benefits of the Crumbles drink

In winter, this strong tincture is served hot. It warms the cardiovascular system and stomach. In summer, krumbumbulla is supplemented with ice, so the drink can cheer up a tired person.

Honey activates the beneficial properties of herbs that are present in the composition, and alcohol is an excellent preservative.

The main advantages of krumbumbulla:

  1. It prevents colds if you have spent a long time outside in the rain or at low temperatures.

  2. Relaxes the muscle and nervous system. A person's mood rises, the drink can cheer up.

  3. Relieves mental and physical fatigue after a hard day's work.

  4. Improves appetite.

  5. Accelerates blood circulation.

  6. Spasms are relieved, as the drink has a moderate analgesic effect.

  7. The mucous membrane in the oral cavity is restored, the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract improves.

  9. Accelerates the elimination of toxic substances from the human body.

It is recommended to drink the drink at the end of the day. This will allow you to tune in for a good time. Recommended dose - 50 ml after dinner.

Recipe "Traditional krumbumbulla"

The prepared drink smells pleasantly of honey and spices. It can be consumed both chilled and heated.

Recommended strength of the krumbumba - 25 degrees.

Ingredients

  1. Vodka - 1 л

  2. Water - 0.5 liters

  3. Honey - 130 g

  4. Allspice - 6 peas

  5. Cinnamon - 2 sticks

  6. Cloves - 6 buds

  7. Nutmeg - 1 g

The method of preparation

  1. First, purified water and 500 ml of vodka are poured into the pan. Put the container on low heat.

  2. Then add the spices from the list of ingredients, the contents are well mixed.

  3. Do not bring the liquid to a boil. It should languish on the fire for about ten minutes.

  4. Now the liquid with spices must be removed from the stove, cooled to about 60 degrees Celsius.

    Only then is honey and another 500 ml of vodka added. The contents are thoroughly mixed, covered with a lid, and infused for about ten minutes.

  5. At the final stage, the drink is filtered with cheesecloth, poured into a jar.

    You need to put it in a dark and cool place for about 2 weeks.

    After this time, the krumbumbulla will need to be filtered again.

Recipe for "Fragrant kramambulya"

Orange peel is used in the preparation of this drink. You can drink the tincture immediately after you filter it.

Ingredients

  1. Vodka - 2 л

  2. Water - 0.4 liters

  3. Honey - 0.5 kg

  4. Allspice - 10 peas

  5. Cinnamon - 4 sticks

  6. Ground cinnamon - 1.5 g

  7. Nutmeg - 0.5 g

  8. Orange zest - 5 g

  9. Cloves - 4 buds

The method of preparation

  1. First, make the base. Allspice must be crushed, put it in a saucepan.

    Cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and orange zest are also added here.

  2. The mixture is poured with water and vodka (volume approx. 0.3 liters).

  3. Put the pan on low heat, add honey to the mixture. The drink must be heated for 15 minutes.

    Be sure to stir the contents of the pan. If foam appears, remove it with a slotted spoon.

    Ingredients! Keep the temperature of the mixture up to 60 degrees.

  4. Then the drink is removed from the heat, covered with a lid, left for half an hour. It should cool and infuse.

  5. Now the previously created syrup is poured into a jar, diluted with the remaining vodka. The container must be tightly closed with a lid.

Some people prefer to infuse krumba with orange peel. In this case, leave the jar in a dark and cool place for about 1-2 weeks.

During the entire shelf life, the contents of the jar are shaken 2 times a day.
