Lemon liqueur: 3 recipes at home

Citrus drinks are characterized by high flavor and bright, sunny color.

Most often, not only pulp and juice are used, but also lemon peel. Sometimes only the peel is used for cooking. In Italy, it is used to make one of the most popular local drinks - limoncello.

Recipe for "Limonovka" liqueur

To get a highly concentrated product, you can take a larger amount of zest (from 6-8 lemons) and let the fruit-alcohol mixture stand for a day in the heat, and add sugar syrup immediately before filtering and bottling. In any case, only the yellow part of the peel is used, the fruit is thoroughly washed and poured over with boiling water before cooking.

Ingredients

  1. Lemon - 3 pieces.

  2. Sugar - 1 kg

  3. Water - 0.5 liters

  4. Alcohol - 1 liter

Method of preparation

  1. Peel the lemons, cut into thin strips or cubes, pour into a glass vessel, pour in alcohol.

  2. Mix water and sugar, brew the syrup, wait for it to cool, gently add to the fruit mass, stirring constantly.

  3. Seal the jar with a lid and leave the mass to infuse for 1 month.

  4. Mix the drink well, filter it, and put it into small bottles.

Classic lemon liqueur

The amount of fruit depends on the size: if large - 1-2 pieces are enough, small ones need more. Wash and scald the fruit beforehand.

Ingredients

  1. Lemon - 1-4 pieces.

  2. Water - 0.6 liters

  3. Vodka - 0.5 liters

  4. Sugar - 300 g

The method of preparation

  1. Cut and grind the upper (yellow) part of the lemon peel, put it in a bowl and pour in vodka.

  2. Squeeze the juice from the fruit pulp, add to the crusts.

  3. Leave the mass to infuse for 2 weeks, filter.

  4. Boil thick sugar syrup, wait for it to cool, strain and combine with the tincture.

  5. Pour into small containers, seal tightly, let it sit for another 2 weeks.

Recipe for Lemon Coffee Liqueur

It is better to take one large fruit, otherwise you will need 2-3 small ones.

Ingredients

  1. Vodka - 0.7 liters

  2. Lemon - 1 piece.

  3. Coffee beans - 33 pcs.

Method of preparation

  1. Wash the lemon well, cut 33 holes in it and put coffee beans inside.

  2. Put the fruit in a jar, fill it with vodka, seal it with a lid, and leave it to infuse for 33 days.

  3. Drain the liquid, filter, pour into a prepared container. Ingredients.

Lemon ratafia

The drink is also called "fruit vodka". Optionally, reduce the amount of sugar and water by 2 times to get a less sweet product.

Ingredients

  1. Lemon - 5 pieces.

  2. Sugar - 0.5 kg

  3. Water - 0.5 liters

  4. Alcohol - 1 liter

Method of preparation

  1. Cut the lemon peel into strips, pour into a jar, pour in alcohol.

  2. Brew a thick syrup from water and sugar, then stir it into the fruit infusion after it has cooled.

  3. Cover the vessel with a lid, let the mass saturate for about 1 month.

  4. Stir again, strain and pour into small bottles.
