Pumpkin syrup: a spicy recipe at home

A distinctive feature of this syrup is the incredible taste and aroma of ripe pumpkins when combined with cinnamon and cloves.

The syrup is ideal for latte, tea, hot chocolate and a number of desserts.

We make pumpkin syrup

Ingredients

  1. Water - 250 ml

  2. Dry ginger - 1.5 tbsp.

  3. Ground coriander - 0.5 h. л. л.

  4. Ground cinnamon - 1.5 tbsp.

  5. Ground nutmeg - 1.5 tbsp.

  6. Sugar - 200 g

  7. Fresh pumpkin - 350 g

Cooking method

  1. Peel and cut the pumpkin into small pieces.

  2. Combine pumpkin and water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook over low heat under a lid until tender. It takes about 10-12 minutes (depending on the type of pumpkin).

  3. Grind the pumpkin with the broth to a puree with a blender or a pestle.

  4. Add sugar and spices.

  5. Bring to a boil and cook over low heat for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  6. Cool the pumpkin syrup and pour into jars, close the lids. Put in the refrigerator.
