Radeda wine: an overview of the drink

Fertile Abkhazian lands have given birth to many wonderful drinks made from wine berries. The art of creating alcohol has been perfected here for several millennia, and the mild climate and abundance of sunshine have contributed to the development of the industry.

One of the largest producers in the region is the Abkhazian Wines and Waters company, whose products are known far beyond the Caucasus Range. Among the best drinks of the Sukhumi plant is the red wine "Radeda", which was first released in 2002.

Features of the production of Radeda wine

The drink is made from the famous Isabella variety, which is characterized by dark, almost black fruits and a bright strawberry flavor.

In Abkhazia, men are traditionally engaged in the collection of ripe grape berries, and oak barrels or ancient clay vessels are used to age the wine.

The workshops of the Sukhumi plant are equipped with modern French equipment, but in the process of making drinks, specialists adhere to traditional Abkhazian recipes.

Radeda is bottled in Czech glass bottles and sealed with a real Portuguese cork.

The origin of the name

The wine received a beautiful Abkhazian name in honor of a wedding song. In accordance with national traditions, the bride is greeted with the romantic hymn "Radeda" in the groom's house.

The song is performed by the older generation when a girl first crosses the threshold of a new home.

It is not surprising that the wine with this name quickly gained popularity as a drink for wedding feasts.
