Dimroth: what is it, how it works, how to do it
Dimroth is a deflagromator, the principle of which is based on heat and mass transfer. Such a module is a kind of reverse refrigeration device, where alcohol vapors are able to condense and return to the cube in the form of a liquid (called phlegm).
The mixture meets new vapors on its way and reacts with them. Removes heavy impurities (most often fusel oils), allows the alcohol base to move further. Condense in a descending refrigeration device, fall into the receiving container in the form of a pure alcohol distiller.
The principle of operation of the Dimroth
Another name for a deflagrator is a dry steamer. It has a special principle of operation:

Alcohol contained in the mash can boil and evaporate at lower temperatures than fusel oil or other impurities. Often they get into the final product, can significantly spoil it.

Fractions with a large mass remain in the dry steamer (in the phlegm, which is located in it). Dimroth eliminates the possibility of harmful elements getting into the finished product.

One part of the steam condenses, and the other moves on, but has a lower temperature. It contains a high concentration of alcohol. Next, the steam moves to the distillation column, where part of the contents falls into the distillation tank. This allows you to create the strongest possible drink.
Previously, such an additional refrigerator was not an obligatory device in the apparatus. Nowadays, many people who are engaged in the production of alcohol at home are improving equipment.
The appearance of the deflagrator resembles a laboratory device. Dimroth can be presented in the form of a glass flask with a coil inside.
How to make Dimroth
In the manufacture of a deflagrator, it is better to use a stainless steel tube. Its diameter should be about 6 mm, the recommended wall thickness is 1 mm. This tube is easy to bend, there is no need to fill it with sand or salt.
It is allowed to make Dimroth from a copper pipe, but it is not recommended to use such a metal. After installing a copper dimrock in a capacitor, harmful substances may appear in the sample due to copper oxidation.
It is better to make deflagrations using a special lathe, but you can manually wind the tube on a firmly fixed metal pipe.
It is recommended to use seamless stainless steel that bends well.
Suture materials will spring strongly, will not fit in the flask in the future.
