Bread moonshine: 12 recipes at home

Moonshine is characterized by a mild flavor, considerable strength, and the absence of a strong hangover after drinking.

Preparation of raw materials

Raw materials for a quality drink are usually grown and prepared independently. To do this, spread wheat, barley, corn, oatmeal and other grains in a thin layer and soak them in warm water. Until the sprouts hatch, make sure that the seeds do not turn sour. Sprouted grains are dried and ground to a state of flour.

Grind the raw materials with a meat grinder, coffee grinder, or simply crush them as they have been done since ancient times.

To activate the fermentation processes, cereal malt is diluted in water, yeast, ready-made bread, potatoes and other ingredients are added. Then the mass is insisted and distilled. Hops, peas, sugar are used as a substitute for yeast.

Making malt for recipes

Malt is made from grains of wheat, corn, rye, barley, millet and peas, taken in approximately equal amounts.

For 1 kg of cereal flour, you need about 4 liters of water, for 15-20 liters of malt diluted in water - ½ kg of yeast or 1 kg of peas. In the latter case, the duration of fermentation is increased by 5 days.

  3. Flour - 40-60 g

  4. Potatoes - 2 buckets

The method of preparation

  1. Prepare malt from grains in the traditional way.

  2. Brew hops in water (2-3 liters), let it brew for a while, drain. Add flour to the broth without waiting for it to cool, leave it to steam for half an hour.

  3. Boil the potatoes, mash them, mix with malt and hop brew.

  4. Dilute the mass with water to a semi-liquid state, transfer to heat.

  5. After fermentation, distill.

Bread and sugar moonshine

Ingredients

  1. Wheat - 4 kg

  2. Water - 29 liters

  3. Sugar - 11 kg

  1. Grind the grains, add 1 kg of sugar to the resulting flour, pour 3 liters of water, and let stand for 5 days in a warm place.

  2. Add 5 kg of sugar to the mass, dilute with water (another 18 liters), leave for a week.

  3. Strain the brew and distill twice.

  4. Add the remaining sugar and water to the cake, wait 1 to 1.5 weeks, drain the liquid and distill twice.

Special moonshine

The degree of readiness of the grain during drying is checked by biting: it should crunch.

Ingredients

  1. Grain - 8 kg

  2. Water - 5 buckets

  3. Yeast - ½ kg

The method of preparation

  1. Pour ½ bucket of water over the cereal raw materials and leave for 3 days.

  2. Drain the water, put the grain on a baking sheet, let it dry, put it in the oven or stove, dry it well, grind it.

  3. Heat 2 buckets of water, pour it into a wooden container, add cereal flour, mix.

  4. After 2 hours, pour the same amount of hot water into the mass, stir.

  5. After 1 hour, add ½ bucket of cold water and pour in the yeast, after mixing the composition well.

  6. Leave the brew warm for 3 days, distill.

Bread and pea moonshine

If you use sprouted peas, you can do without malt. It turns out about 3 liters of moonshine.

Ingredients

  1. Cereal malt - 3 cups

  2. Peas - 3 kg

  3. Yeast - 0.2 kg

Method of preparation

  1. Grind the peas, pour them into a pot of boiling water, stirring continuously, and boil the mass until thick.

  2. Allow the composition to cool, add malt, stir and leave to infuse.

  3. Transfer the mixture to a large container, add yeast, transfer to heat, keep for 5 days, distill.

Moonshine "Potato and wheat"

The final product yield is up to 7 liters.

Ingredients

  1. Potatoes - 20 kg

  2. Wheat flour - 1 kg

  3. Yeast - ½ kg

  1. Grate the washed raw potatoes, pour them with well-heated boiled water, stirring the process.

  2. Add flour to the potato mass, let stand, drain the liquid.

  3. Pour the mash again with heated water, insist and strain.

  4. Mix two potato infusions, add the soaked yeast, leave for a period of one and a half to two weeks, distill.

Moonshine "Potato and oatmeal"

If you follow the above proportions, you will get about 9 liters of the drink.

Ingredients

  1. Oats - 6 kg

  2. Potatoes - 10 kg

  3. Yeast - ½ kg

The method of preparation

  1. Wash potatoes well, mash them.

  2. Grind oatmeal, soak in boiling water, mix thoroughly, gradually adding potato mass.

  3. After 3 hours, pour 35 liters of water, mix again and add the dissolved yeast.

  4. Close the container tightly, let the mixture stand for 4 days in the dark, distill.

Moonshine "Rice"

The amount of the finished product will be approximately 4 liters.

Ingredients

  1. Rice - 3 kg

  2. Yeast - 0.2 kg

  3. Malt - 3 cups

  4. Water - 10 liters

  1. Boil rice in the specified amount of water, add malt, mix the mass.

  2. Leave the mixture for half a day, stir again, add yeast, wait 6 days, decant the infusion, distill.
