Alize liqueur: history, composition, types

There is nothing more beautiful than the state of euphoria that you experience in the process of creating something new, unusual and in demand. It is quite possible that Jean-Paul and Marie-Claude Lafragette felt this way when they were working on the creation of Alize liqueur. It was a completely new experience for them and the Lafragette cognac house. Although the fruit jams produced by the company are also not quite a usual product for a cognac brand.

A brief history of Alize

The company producing one of the best cognacs in France was founded more than 200 years ago, in 1814. The family also owns Chateau Loudenne, which specializes in creating excellent wine from famous grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Cabernet Franc. But this is another story..

Although cognac and jams play an important role in the creation of fruit liqueurs. Initially, manufacturers decided to launch the Alize line of youth cognac. And it was he who, after his overwhelming success, pushed the business owners to another, and as it turned out, a very successful experiment.

The first Alize Gold Passion liqueur was released in 1986. And already in 2007, the Alize line of liqueurs included 3 types of cognac-based drinks and 2 types of vodka-based drinks.

An interesting fact is that in the mid-90s of the XX century, when the liquor entered the American market and made a real splash there, famous rappers from New York "8-Off" and Mr.Cheeks wrote a song called "Alize For Dolo", in which they praised this luxurious passionate drink.

To date, the House of Lafragette continues to produce and sell cognac products and elite wines. And for the production of liqueurs opened the company L&L S.A.S, which is directly involved in the production and distribution of Alize products.

The secret of producing Alize liqueur

Fresh fruit jam and first-class purified Lafragette cognac spirits are used to produce the liqueur.

The main feature of fruit drinks is that due to the high concentration of carefully selected fruits and the use of the best spirits, the drink does not give a sediment.

Also important is the fact that the liqueur is 100% natural and for some flavors, premium French vodka is used instead of cognac.
