Of course, the easiest way is to go to the nearest supermarket and buy a bottle of Jack Daniels Honey, Jim Beam Honey, Metaxa Honey Shot or Drambuie.

But believe me, this homemade liqueur with an incredible honey flavor and spicy aroma is not inferior to well-known brands.

Polish honey liqueur Krupnik

In this recipe, alcohol can be replaced with vodka. But the finished liquor will be very different, not only in strength but also in taste.

You can also use 2-3 sachets of vanilla sugar instead of a vanilla pod.

Ingredients

  1. Alcohol (95%) - 500 ml

  2. Honey - 500 g

  3. Water - 400 ml

  4. Cloves - 5 buds

  5. Badian - 1 pc.

  6. Vanilla bean - 1 pc.

  7. Cinnamon stick - 1 pc.

  8. Cardamom - 3 pcs.

  9. Soda - 1/5 h. л

  10. Dried mint - 1 tsp. л

  11. Ginger - to taste

The method of preparation

  1. First, we need to mix water, honey and all the spices, including baking soda, in a saucepan.

  2. Then boil the aromatic mixture over low heat for about 30 minutes, not forgetting to stir and skim the foam. To prevent honey from releasing carcinogens, it is important to monitor the heating temperature, which should not exceed 60 degrees.

  3. After the spicy honey syrup has cooled, mix it with alcohol and pour it into a suitable glass container. Let it stand for 2-3 days in a cool place.

  4. After the specified time, strain the liquor, then filter and bottle it.

  5. Before tasting, the drink must be aged for at least two months, but it is better to stretch this stage for 1-2 years. During this time, the drink will be completely clarified and a cloudy sediment will fall to the bottom.

  6. The strength of the finished honey liqueur is about 40 degrees.

Damburi honey liqueur based on Chivas Regal

The original Scottish liqueur is made on the basis of 12-year-old Chivas, but it is an expensive pleasure and you can replace it with any other blend.

Of course, the exact composition and proportions of spices and spices are kept in the strictest confidence, but we will make a move with a horse and add only rosemary. And the homemade version of the famous Drambuie will sparkle in a new way.

Ingredients

  1. Chivas Regal - 700 ml

  2. Heather honey - 240 g

  3. Rosemary - 1 tsp. (dried - 0.25 tsp.)

Method of preparation

  1. Grind the rosemary, pour it into a jar and pour the whiskey. Leave at room temperature for 1-2 days.

  2. Then the aromatic tincture must be thoroughly filtered through a fine strainer.

  3. Now add honey and shake thoroughly. Leave for 1-2 days to allow the sediment to settle completely to the bottom.

  4. Then carefully drain the honey liqueur from the sediment and pass it through a filter.

  5. Pour the drink into a bottle and let it brew for as long as possible.

Drambuie honey liqueur based on Johnny Walker Black Label

Of course, this is not the cheapest option either, but it is closer to the original taste of the drink.

This recipe was developed by the Americans, but again, to save a little money, you can take the classic Red Label.

Ingredients

  1. Black Label whiskey - 750 ml

  2. Liquid honey - 350 ml

  3. Lemon zest - 2 strips of 5 cm each

  4. Chopped dill seeds - 1/4 tsp.

  5. Dried angelica root - 2 tsp. (finely chopped)

The method of preparation

  1. Mix all ingredients in a glass container and leave at room temperature for 14 days. The first 24 hours, the drink must be stirred vigorously several times.

  2. After two days, remove the lemon zest from the container and continue to infuse the drink in a dark place until the expiration date.

  3. After 2 weeks, the liquor must be filtered and bottled.

  4. Now the most difficult stage is aging. It is advisable to stretch it for at least six months.

Honey liqueur with herbs

Ingredients

  1. Alcohol 96% - 250 ml

  2. Flower honey - 250 ml

  3. Water - 250 ml

  4. Mint - 1 tbsp.

  5. Melissa - 1 tbsp. л

  6. Thyme - 1 tbsp.

  7. St. John's wort - 1 small sprig

  8. Soda - 0.5 h. л.

Simple honey liqueur

Ingredients

  1. Water - 1 liter of water

  2. Alcohol - 500 ml

  3. Honey - 1 kg

  4. Fresh lemon - 1 pc.

The method of preparation

  1. Quickly scald and wipe the lemon peel with a clean towel.

  2. Cut the peels off the lemon, pour alcohol, let it brew.

  3. Boil water, pour in honey and cook over low heat for 4 hours, skimming off the foam.

  4. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature, mix with alcohol and put in a warm place for 14-15 days.

  5. Strain the finished drink, bottle it, close it tightly and leave it for 150-180 days before drinking.
