Davidoff cognac consists of spirits that are aged in old oak barrels for ten years. In the production of this drink, a special technology is used, in which white wine is placed in special containers, and then it is distilled into grape alcohol. This provides an excellent, incomparable taste.
The slogan of the Swiss company Davidoff was formulated by its founding father, Zino Davidoff of Ukrainian origin. It sounds like this: "In life, everyone should enjoy only the best".

The history of Davidoff cognac
The idea to produce cognac came to one of the members of the Davidoff family business - Zino Davidoff. He shared his idea with his friend Kilian Hennessy. During the discussion, the idea arose to create a drink that, on the one hand, would be the perfect complement to first-class cigars, and on the other hand, would be a drink in itself.
The Hennessy House acted as a supplier of excellent aged spirits - and in the middle of the 20th century, a new brand of cognac Davidoff appeared on the market.
Types of Davidoff cognac
Serving temperature: 18-20°С.
Davidoff VS
Aged for over 3 years in Limousin oak barrels. It is aged for the first 7 months in new oak barrels to create a vanilla flavor, and then in slightly charred (5 to 40 years old) barrels.
The cognac is characterized by aromas of apricot and peach fruit, buttercream, chestnut, honey and freshly baked bread. The drink evokes a warm summer evening. Easy to drink, very aromatic, lively and an ideal mix for long drinking.
It is combined with almonds and Parmesan cheese.
Davidoff VSOP
The cognac has a dark amber color with a rich and complex bouquet, in which shades of flowers, wood bark, coffee beans and spices are intertwined. Deep and voluminous taste, expressive, slightly dry, with hints of dark chocolate and prunes.
The average age of the spirits included in the blend is 8 years. An excellent digestif and companion to a good cigar.
Davidoff XO
The beautiful dark amber color is accompanied by concentrated aromas of garden flowers, leather, strong black coffee and spices. Rich, intense and long-lasting taste, full-bodied, dry, with hints of liquorice, prunes and honey.
The average age of the spirits included in the blend is 20 years.
Interesting facts about Davidoff cognac
Davidoff Classic is the result of the alliance between Zino Davidoff and Gilles Hennessy, two of the most successful and famous people in their respective fields. The aim of this alliance was to create a strong drink that is ideal for cigars.
Special glass is used to make exclusive bottles. At first they are opened like wine, and then a special cork is put in.
Despite the possibility of deviations in the actual date, the beginning of the aging period of French cognac "Davidoff" dates back to April 1 of the year of the bookmark. There is one essential requirement for the temperature in oak barrel cellars: it must be maintained naturally or artificially at +15°C.
The Davidoff company does not have its own vineyards, and its cognac has no centuries-old traditions.
