Louis Du Conte cognac: history, overview of taste and types

When you hear the name "Louis Du Conte", your imagination draws you an elegant bottle of French cognac, crowned with all possible regalia. Its wonderful aroma intoxicates your mind, and its unsurpassed taste gives you warmth and joy.

It is all the more surprising that this incredible drink was not bottled on the outskirts of the city of Cognac, but rather a miracle produced at the factories of the Moldovan company EuroAlco. He is the hero of our today's article.

Successors of the legend

EuroAlco is a relatively young producer. But the short history is redeemed by a glorious heritage. After all, it originated on the basis of the Chisinau Cognac Factory. The same one that was opened in 1898 by the famous entrepreneur Shustov. Even now, the building of the old Shustov workshop stands on the territory of the company's plant, reminding both guests and employees of the company's great history.

However, you can't go far on one loud story. And EuroAlco is well aware of this. That is why the company carefully monitors every step of production. Starting from growing its own grapes to bottling the finished product on the latest equipment.

EuroAlco's diligence has been recognized by a number of international awards. And its products are popular both in the near and far abroad.

Classification of divinis

Most alcohol lovers remember that only products made in the vicinity of the French city of Cognac are called cognacs. Therefore, most countries register their own names for similar drinks. In Moldova, this is the divine.

The decoding of this sounding word is very prosaic. "Divine" comes from "distillate wine". That's right, a simple abbreviation gives rise to very original names that combine both essence and beauty. Therefore, in our story, we will use this term.

  1. The regular versions of Ovation (3 and 5 years) offer a delicate bouquet of Southern fruit flavors with a hint of vanilla. Their flavor is light, airy and very pleasant.

  2. Vintage divines aged 7 and 10 years are a more serious drink. Their flavor has notes of smoking, and the lightness of the odors has been replaced by the solidity of the aroma of aged alcohol.

  3. There is a separate XO version aged for 15 years. And don't let its soft golden color fool you. This is a real nectar that can compete with the old-timers of the cognac world. Rich flavors of fruit, vanilla and spices are set off by a lingering aroma of flowers with hints of old oak.
