Types of Metelka absinthe
Metelka Naturelle

Premium class absinthe. Produced using a special technology. As the name suggests, it is a completely natural product without the use of any artificial colors. There are peeled coriander seeds at the bottom of each bottle, which emphasizes its natural character. The coriander seeds are macerated for several months before being added to the final product, so they do not change the taste of Absinthe Naturelle.
Alcohol of greenish-yellow color with a rich, spicy taste with notes of anise, wormwood, herbs and fennel, smoothly turning into a long aftertaste.
The aroma of absinthe is expressive with notes of bitter wormwood, anise, mint, fennel, coriander and lemon.
Strength: 60%.
Thujone content: 15 mg/l.
Metelka Verdoyante

The aroma of this absinthe is herbal with a predominant anise flavor. The taste is slightly bitter due to the extract of wormwood and coriander. After dilution with cold water, a milky cloudiness occurs, which is called the lush effect, it is characteristic of absinthe with a high proportion of anise essential oil.
Strength: 60%.
Thujone content: 10 mg/l.
Metelka de Moravie

An atypical Czech absinthe. The herbs typical for the South Moravian region give this drink a very characteristic pleasant aroma and taste, while preserving the basic golden trinity of herbs: wormwood, anise and fennel in the distilled and macerated part of the product.
The decorative anise and fennel seeds at the bottom of the bottle are macerated for several months before being added to the final product so that they do not change the taste of Absinthe De Moravie.
Fortress: 70%.
Thujone content: 15 mg/l.
The story of Metelka in brief
The Metelka family company was founded in 1934. In 1948, the family had to flee to Vysokov in the South Moravian region. After the fall of the totalitarian regime in the Czech Republic, in 1989, Bohumil Metelka passed on his experience and family secrets of producing spirits to his son, Milan. In 1991, Milan began construction of a new plant in Moravské Prusy.
